This property's address is on Stonegate Ct., but the back and side of their property is on the corner of Smith Road and Hagen. There is a thorny bush coming off the ground next to their fence, leaning over the sidewalk. Last year, as it grew, you had to go around it when on the sidewalk. Also, the picture shows the Hagen side where weeds and small trees are come between their stone wall and the sidewalk (both sidewalks on that corner.
Thanks for all you do to help make my big walks nicer! Your department is appreciated. Abby

There are multiple cars parked in front of 1397 W Adams Hill Circle that are never moved, some with multiple flat tires. The house is an eyesore with a rusted lawnmower in the side yard and appliances in the driveway often. I don't know which of these things can be cited but the cars in particular are an eyesore and nuisance.

Sidewalk & Curb Complaints

Last year I had sent in a complaint about storm water running down Olive Street into the joint driveway of 1502 & 1504 S. Olive St. and 1144 E Hillside Dr. An asphalt curb was installed in the Fall of 2025, but they did not install to the top of the hill at Olive St. The water from rain can still run into the joint driveways of 1502 & 1504. Can this be fixed to where the curb will start at the top of Olive and run all the way down to Hillside or to where the other curb starts.

A homeowner at 3430 S McDougal St, Bloomington, IN 47403 is regularly parking 3 pickup trucks on their front lawn instead of their driveway. Repeated vehicle traffic has destroyed the grass and created deep ruts and a large mud pit. Mud is being tracked into the roadway and the nearby storm drain. The vehicles also frequently block the sidewalk, requiring pedestrians to walk in the street.
Summary of concerns:
• Parking on unimproved surface: Multiple pickup trucks are regularly parked on the front lawn instead of a driveway or paved surface.
• Sidewalk accessibility concerns: Vehicles regularly drive across the sidewalk to access the lawn parking area. The repeated traffic has created a muddy area on the sidewalk that makes pedestrian passage difficult. I have personally observed pedestrians, including individuals using crutches and wheelchairs, needing to step into the street to get around the area.
• Stormwater / drainage concerns: Mud from the yard is being tracked into the street and a storm drain located along the curb.
• Sediment entering storm drain: The storm drain and surrounding curb area are frequently covered with mud and sediment.
• Potential utility concerns: Repeated vehicle traffic and soil compaction are occurring in an area where underground utilities may be located.
• Long-term issue: This situation has been occurring and progressively worsening for approximately five years as vehicles repeatedly park on the lawn and drive across the sidewalk.

This has become a continual issue. With the city no longer picking up leaves, we have several neighbors that rake, blow their leaves into the gutters/curb, large piles even, and when it rains heavy they clog the drains forcing the rain waters to the lowest point and drain in front of my home where it clogs and runs up into my property and halfway up my driveway. One time my wife was up to her shins in water as we have to rake and shovel out the drains on both sides of the road. I have called and had a crew come out to deal with it the time before last night. And last night when I returned home my trash cans were floating in the street. I called around midnight, thought a crew was coming out, but I did not see anyone, so with my bad back I once again took care of it. My recycle cans had been hit by a car, as my neighbors can also appears to been hit. Is there not a way for the city to come out and ask the neighbors to clear the curbs and not blow leaves into the street? One drive out here could easily see where it starts. I have had to bag many leave bags from this, which is at my expense. Please help with this issue.
