An area of new sod immediately adjacent to the sidewalk and between the sidewalk and street has collapsed (in some places to a depth of 9 inches) in such a way that it is unsafe for bicyclists or pedestrians who may veer off the sidewalk even very briefly. We believe this sod was laid after the ground was dug for installation of the fiber cable for Gigabit Now. We (University Baptist Church) are not certain of the best agency to contact about the problem, and we are hoping that you will either take care of it or direct us to the correct people to contact. If someone chooses to respond to this concern by phone, please note that we have very limited office hours, but they could leave a voice message. Email is actually best. Thank you! The orange barriers along the sidewalk on S High Street between Wimbleton and E Meadowbluff Ct still have not been removed and remain a big eyesore. I was told that Duke Energy needs to do something there before they can be removed. I bet it has been 2 years now that those barriers have been there. Isn't it time that Duke did what they need to do in order for them to be removed?!

AEG is installing fiber in my neighborhood and they have been putting their heavy trucks and boring machine on the sidewalk. The sidewalk from 14th to 17th on the west side of Rogers was already all cracked up from age but this is the straw that breaks the camels back. It is definitely much worse than it was a week ago, over almost the entire length. I want to make sure the homeowners aren't held responsible for this damage. It would have lasted years more without heavy trucks on it but now its decidedly concave and will almost certainly start giving up big chunks in the next winter.
