I'm not sure if this is the proper way to report this, but there is a very dangerous crosswalk where I've almost been hit multiple times and I have seen the same thing with other pedestrians. The problem is when crossing from the NE corner of 10th and Walnut to the NW corner. The problems result from the fact that 1) the crosswalk is obscured from view for drivers on 10th coming from the East and 2) the stop line for those drivers is back from the intersection to allow for trucking turning E on 10th from Walnut. The result is that pedestrians start to cross on the walk signal but the drivers turning right from 10th have a bit of speed by the time they can even see anyone in the crosswalk and frequently can't stop in time when they come upon a walker. The only real safe way to navigate that crosswalk as a pedestrian is to just not use the actual crosswalk (eg. stay way to the left almost in the lane of traffic so you are even seen). If you try crossing there at 5pm any day of the week, you will immediately see what I'm talking about. ;) I'm not sure what the solution is but I just know it is very dangerous. At a bare minimum, I would suggest removing the bush at the NE corner to increase visibility but even then the layout of that corner is dangerous so perhaps someone can take a look and see if anything can be done? VERY disappointed in the new sidewalk curbs at 4th and Indiana. The curbs are to high for handicap individuals trying to correct they have made a mess of the new sidewalk areas. One sidewalk has been chipped significantly trying to correct. Very poor job.

Caller states that a pile of sand and dirt was left on the sidewalk so long that it has now washed down the curb line the whole block and weeds are now growing in the gutter line. He does not think the street sweeper will be able to pick it up and believes it will need to be shoveled up.

hi, there is condo building located @ 14th and North Dunn St that a couple months ago had a white picket fence erected along the sidewalk/curb. There is also benches and chairs. If the company that owns this has that right I understand. I own a house I rent out in the area as well and it runs along the street in a similar fashion. I might want to add a fence along the sidewalk or street for a little hang out/party area as well in the future if that is allowed.

The Sidewalk along smith road on the walk to University elementary is damaged, broken and barely even a sidewalk. Additionally cutout ramps are needed at the Apartment complex at the corner of Smith. the broken sidewalk is a tripping hazard and makes walking extremely difficult.

Mr. Gardner reported to Street Dept. that a mailbox post with jagged sharp edges is stuck in the middle of the sidewalk at 504 N. Smith. Dangerous to pedestrians, and no mail box attached.
