At this location the sidewalk ramps were built to try and balance tripping hazards with pedestrian safety from cars turning and potentially entering the ramps. In this case, the concrete section between the two ramps was made to protect pedestrians by creating a barrier between the cars turning and the pedestrians waiting on the ramp to cross. Unfortunately, this has created a potential tripping hazard that can't be avoided. The inclines also can not be painted as the yellow typically refers to no parking and not an indication of a tripping hazard in this case. Thank you for bringing this to our attention for review. We always appreciate these cases.
