On the wall that runs along South Oakdale Drive (around the 1502 - 1508 block), that sits beneath Bloomfield Road/2nd Street, there are three areas of graffiti. They have been there for awhile and I am attempting to find out who is responsible for this. INDOT is saying that it is the City of Bloomington.
There is offensive graffiti on the bypass B-Line trail (the trail across from the main B-Line trail light post 9 or so). There are multiple places where swastikas, swear words, and mentions of "white power" are spray painted on the paved trail. Please remove/cover this immediately.
“Free Speech Bridge” on Eagleson Avenue has hateful, disturbing grafitti. The red hands, red triangles and “Zionism Will Fall” messaging are paticulalry heinous and disturbing as they are often viewed as a call to violence, a call for the murder of all Jewish people. There is a hate sticker on the Playful City USA sign next to the Mills Shower Park on N College near the stoplight at 17th. Please remove.
Green spray painted graffiti marked on my wall between 518 and 512 W Howe St. This appeared 4 to 6 weeks ago.
The south-facing reflector sign in the traffic circle at 6th and Oak has been painted with the "Vain" tag that has appeared all over town. It has been there for a while now (a few weeks, perhaps). Thanks!
Our neighborhood stone sign for Trailview on Moravec Way and the B-Line has been spray painted with what appears to be B.T.K. in black
Not really graffiti but I was not sure what category to select. I am curious about the laws regarding posting advertisements on signs and other surfaces around the city. Is it allowed? Is the Poster required to come back and remove the sign after the event date has passed?
