I have been trying to contact Matt Swinney (for over a month - last I heard from him was on Novemeber 12) regarding the trash build up of my next door neighbors. I have not heard from him from despite sending 4 emails since his last communication and I have not seen any improvement in the trash build up next door. I would appreciate if someone could ticket the people at 1317 W 6th St and also contact me about who to talk to in the future. I believe the abatement process needs to start again. Their property has had to be abated every year that I have lived next door.

Hello, I live two doors down from the Banneker center. I have a request that the city, park the van either on the side street next to the center or in front of the center...I realize this is city parking and they have a right to park there. The staff park the van in front of my house and leave it there all weekend and they usually park the van directly in front of mine and my neighbor's house, while they have plenty of room on the west side of the building to park. Or possibly at the girls Club. They usually leave the van there all weekend . They usually park at at least 3 feet from the end of the yellow line. We can normally park three cars there. This effectively cuts off any accessible parking in front of my house and my neighbor's house. I don't mind the extra parking for the kids activities all during the week but this is the staff van. Please forward this praise to the appropriate dept: If we haven't thanked the appropriate department already, on behalf of Bloomington Transit I want to give an enormous thanks to all the staff responsible for clearing the roads so that BT's fixed route and BTaccess (disabled transport) could successfully maintain operations last week during the awful cold and snow. Third report: Dead crab apple tree in front of 715 West 13th St. I reported this last year, no response. I reported it earlier this spring and was informed that crab apples are low on your priority list. While I of course understand that emergencies come first, I don't quite believe that every day there are trees down blocking the roads. This is on a public street, with some involvement in wires, and it is a city responsibility. I would at least like to hear that it is on your list. Thank you.

Bus 5, plate 81838, almost struck my car in the roundabout at Rogers/Sare. The bus entered late, failed to yield, and was speeding. This bus needs a safety class--this was reckless driving with passengers.

Please update your police officers on policies regarding insurance, warranted searched, and speed limit postings. I was pulled over yesterday by a police officer who said I was tailgating yet speeding, and when I explained I was tailgating because I had to slam on my brakes since he pulled out into the lane. I believed he was making an emergency maneuver, however was just trying to get in traffic. He pulled me over, said he would cite me if I did not have my insurance, which I did, but it is also a law that I have 24 hours to provide that proof. It is also a law that if he has no reason to search my trunk, he cannot. However, he asked and I, politely, said yes. However, this was not necessary as there was no probable cause to search. Luckily my father is IMPD and was in direct contact with his supervisor. But I would like to make the city aware of this incident, as I felt very uncomfortable. Especially when said officer kept saying things were expired, then changing his mind when I said they were not. He was very unprofessional, and as someone who has been around law enforcement for 21 years, exhibited very concerning behavior. Thank you.

Police non performance of duty. Found cat in hot car over 100 degrees. When owner came out after 30 min. police did nothing! Gave the cat back to this idiot and drove away. This is appalling!

When is this city going to clean up all the passed out junkies littering our streets? I can't even shop in my own fucking city anymore. Last night I went downtown to eat dinner and I'm the span of 4 blocks I was harassed for change multiple times, someone threatened to steal my sunglasses, and a man was shitting in a trash can wiping his ass with his bare hands right outside town hall. Seriously when are you going to wake up and do your job. I've lived in major metro areas and have never seen anything close to this. People openly smoking crack, nodding off on heroin this is a fucking mess and someone is going to end up getting hurt or worse.

I'm tired of being solicited by homeless people anytime I walk around downtown. I love this city and I love living downtown but I am hesitant to even walk a few blocks away from my apartment because I'm relentlessly confronted by homeless people. I have no problem with homeless people and I'm willing to pay my part of the taxes to get them steady jobs and homes, but soliciting hard working residents should not be tolerated and the authorities must step in
