Referencing case #170526...if Renwick gets their City trees trimmed, then we would like the same for our neighborhood. Please begin along Hancock Dr on the opposite side of the road from the park, continue up to Lindbergh and turn left. Continue down the right side. Turn left on W. 12th and then trim alongside the City alley between Oolitic and Lindbergh. As much of this overgrowth, particularly along Hancock, has obscured signs, it would be very helpful. I tried to use this area to have a quick meeting with colleagues before going to an appointment at a business on the square. This area was unavailable due to the mess. Balloons, needles, beverage cans, etc. (The yoga mat is mine.) Further, these benches are damaged and appear to be unmaintained. I then moved to the corner of the square where no needles were visible. There I was immediately solicited by panhandlers twice. All of this is unacceptable and I hope to see these areas cleaned and maintained on a proper schedule. The frequency with which I am required to defend myself physically against panhandlers here is becoming unbearable. It is unsafe to be downtown in Bloomington, Indiana.

I am a realtor with FC Tucker and I am trying to sell a house at the above address. There is a homeless camp in the back woods of this house. we had an accepted offer on the house until the people walked out into the backyard and saw the homeless encampment. It is virtually going to be impossible to sell a home that has a homeless encampment behind it. You will be hearing from me very frequently until this situation is resolved. Julie Davis FC Tucker

Re: Case #165561 Some debris from the accident remains near the RR underpass. Trash and weeds are still on Adams, and on Fountain, and on 8th Streets. Streets near the university at least get swept. Can the City seal the streets, so the weeds won't grow?

I tried to submit this report on 10/30/2019, but I am not sure that it went through. On the morning of 10/30/2019, a City of Bloomington pickup truck ran a red light in front of me at the intersection of 3rd and Indiana. The incident was captured on my dash cam. I have uploaded the video to this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJm5JdMn2Hk&feature=youtu.be I debated about whether to report this or not, but as someone that works in public safety, I decided it was important to report. After running the light, the person stopped at a gas pump at the Circle K station and presumably bought gas. So there should be a corresponding gas receipt. The video has the date and time stamp for your reference.

Two things: One) There is an encampment at 415 S Walnut (in front of iMechanic) that is growing and basically taking over the sidewalk at this point. Please remove them before this gets out of hand. Two) Can we please just add a dedicated category for reporting homeless and encampments on uReport. It is arguably the largest issue facing the city yet there is not a specific category to address it. Let's be honest and direct about the problem so we can actually address it.

Yard waste carts are a great idea but very expensive. If city government wants to promote them please lower the price. Would love to buy one.
