Writing the address on the envelope to send our Property Tax check, I realized that it says 'Fairfileld, OH'. Just curious why that is. Could this not be processed in Bloomington, creating work for locals, instead of probably having to play an outsider to do this?
Your construction on the city of Bloomington is awful I would like to mention that it is almost impossible to get anywhere. I leave half an hour before work which would normally be a 10min drive and still end up late on some days. Is it really necessary to have all major roads worked on at the same time?

requesting feedback: Today is Monday Jan. 15,2018 and I cannot complete some of my personal errands due to weather conditions on the streets and sidewalks.First, my mail has been delayed since Saturday from the incoming snow storm. I noticed the sidewalks were not shoveled and some places were not salted nor were some of the streets were not plowed either. I am just bringing some of the few things to this office's attention because this delays all my daily personal errands like paying bills,etc. I look forward to hearing a positive feedback from this office. It is unfortunate that city employees cannot fulfill snow-plowing jobs when there are plenty of "homeless citizens" looking for work/employment that would have look forward to plowing the streets of Bloomington,Indiana. Huge dead tree dropping major branches on street and cars at 801 S Peach Tree. Owner says city responsible. Called Street Dept 3 weeks ago--they said call Lee Huss. Left message, no response. Problem is worse and tired of clearing street to drive on it!! Please respond-----
It would be great if the city could offer some professional development courses geared toward women. I work on the IU campus as a professional staff and there is very little support offered for the types of challenges we face. I live near the fire station. Today(06/27) about 6:30pm I opened the door, went out and found some fire fighters chatting on the fire station's balcony. I'm sure they noticed me, too. I passed the station and there is no other people walking at that way at the same time. I heard a hugh shouting to me in a sudden. I think it was the gang on the balcony trying to scare me and make fun of me. Just because I'm an Asian girl.
I recently attended a peaceful protest downtown for the Black Lives Matter movement. The Mayor gave a very nice and well received speech on the courthouse lawn. I have found that this speech has since been posted to YouTube where I have had the chance to listen to it again. During his speech he spoke about transparency at all levels in local Government. The Mayor also made mention of the fact that window tint was being removed from all Police cars in order to promote this. I believe that this was a step in the right direction. Yet despite this, I still have seen administrators at the Department getting in and out of their cars while I walk to class and while they are driving around town with window tint still on their Police cars. Why has the window tint not been removed from these Police vehicles despite the fact that the Mayor wants complete and total transparency and these are people that should be some of the most transparent ones out there?
