I'm tired of being solicited by homeless people anytime I walk around downtown. I love this city and I love living downtown but I am hesitant to even walk a few blocks away from my apartment because I'm relentlessly confronted by homeless people. I have no problem with homeless people and I'm willing to pay my part of the taxes to get them steady jobs and homes, but soliciting hard working residents should not be tolerated and the authorities must step in

6/23/16 To: John Hamilton Mayor I hope the Taste of Bloomington was a big success. It was bad news for the laborers who set up the tents. Southside Rental who employed them did not pay them. They had some excuses. These are folks who really need the money. It reflects badly on the city that those at the lowest level do not get paid promptly. A Cedar tree needs to be removed. I contacted the city forester a couple of years ago (and got an affirmative reply from him) to put this action on a waiting list. I called once again a number of months ago and did not receive any reply. The tree, which I believe is on city property, is growing into the power lines and is interfering with the street light on the electrical pole. I believe it might also be a vector for diseases of pine trees in the area. Thank you very much. Glenn Gero 8122728918

There may be no illegalities within the mayors administration, but there are breeches of the peace through his office. The city does not derive a debt to the State of Indiana, it does operate under the same jurisdiction, and that means authority. Mark Kruzan is being given a vote of no confidence because of the Separation of Church and State. He has become a rebel, and some of his actions have been worthy of accrediting, but in light of other circumstances in the city , such conducts will have negated such accreditation. He is a disgrace for not challenging Federal authority away from being an independent on the ballot, and does not deserve to remain the Mayor of Bloomington city government.

Bus 5, plate 81838, almost struck my car in the roundabout at Rogers/Sare. The bus entered late, failed to yield, and was speeding. This bus needs a safety class--this was reckless driving with passengers.

I called the Bloomington police department this evening to report a noise complaint (someone in the apartment complex adjacent to mine is playing incredibly loud rap music). I was told by someone on the phone that the noise ordinance in Bloomington does not start until 11 pm, however, section 14.09.030 states that "Sound that is clearly audible to a person with normal hearing from any place other than the premises from which the source of the sound is located, when the sound occurs between the hours of nine p.m. and seven a.m., is prima facie evidence of a violation of this section." The lady was pleasant, and told me that she would send someone over to look into it, but she was convinced that the city of Bloomington's noise ordinance did not go into affect until 11 pm. Might be worth looking into.
