The fraternity Phi Gamma Delta has been playing very loud music all afternoon and evening, and it is easily heard inside nearby buildings. I don't know if this is a city issue or a university issue, but I know that uReports are an effective tool in general, and was hoping I could be directed to the right place.
Hi, Regarding the July 3 downtown fireworks display, https://bloomington.in.gov/bicentennial links to https://bloomington.in.gov/sites/default/files/2018-06/Fireworks%202018%20FAQ%20Document%20v5%20-%20FINAL.pdf which, among other things, states, "What is the perimeter around the launch site? The City has worked hard on safety for the event. There will be a perimeter around the fireworks display area. Please see attached map. Viewers will not be able to watch the fireworks inside that area." There is no "attached map" that I could find and no instructions/advisory as to where folks might set up lawn chairs and view the show. Given that there may be a large crowd, where are we advised to gather to watch? BTW, the "Calendar" the city site links to (https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=bloomington.in.gov_4m4ito5pefg3ts9pb9uudhda6o@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/New_York) has no entry for July 3. Finally, the "flyer" at https://www.visitbloomington.com/event/b-town-boom!-fireworks-over-downtown/38107/ states, "Cook Group and CFC Properties, in partnership with the City of Bloomington, are excited to bring fireworks back to downtown Bloomington for the first time in years. B-town Boom fireworks are an opportunity to celebrate the Bicentennial of the City of Bloomington and Monroe County while kicking off Bloomington's Fourth of July festivities. More info to come." Again, no information about where viewers should or can gather. Can you please advise?
There is a tall dead tree in the backyard of this rental house in my neighborhood, right near the property line with the other house. During each major storm, large limbs fall into the street, creating a danger for those of us who walk past that location. The tree should come down ASAP. I should have reported this sooner but occasionally someone (city? utilities?) saws up the limbs that fall so I have assumed it was on someone's radar. Last night VERY large limbs came down. Please make sure someone solves this problem soon.
November of 2013 my truck died and I decided to try to go all of 2014 without a vehicle. So far so good. I hike and bike the B-line a LOT at all times of day/night. I have recently noticed more of a police presence there, I'm guessing in response to the recent crime spree there. I've also noticed police talking with parks workers there and stickers (on the parks worker's vehicles) alerting us that the park workers can alert police (and I imagine EMS) if needed. Today I saw a city worker bush hogging a bunch of tall weeds that a criminal could hide out in waiting to pounce. I say all that to say a BIG THANK YOU! That B-line is too nice to let it be ruined by a handful of thugs. Thanks again to all of you....and 'book em Dano.'
I'd like to honor the late Billy Graham by changing the Bloomington roads with "Graham" in the name (i.e., East Graham Place, Graham Drive, etc.) to "Billy Graham." Billy Graham Place, Billy Graham Drive, etc. Not sure how to go about this request. Thank you for any assistance.

Hello, I'm reaching out on behalf of my employer Hanapin Marketing. We currently reside in the Showers complex at 501 N. Morton Street, and our employees share the Showers Red Parking Lot with County employees. Over the last 6 months, we have all noticed a rise in crime in the parking lot, particularly with theft. I've attached several police reports that have been filed in the last few months to support these claims. These are the incidents that were reported to the police, however, there have been others as well that were never filed. For example, in early January one of our employees had his door handle ripped off his car entirely. We are hoping that the city will notice this trend and assist us in our request to advocate for higher security and/or additional patrols in that area to deter thefts. When it rains, there is no drainage at this spot. All along the north side of 2nd from College to Rogers there are multiple areas of flooding on the street through this corridor.
I wish to report a code violation regarding overgrowth and grass length at 537 N. Plymouth Road in Park Ridge East. The code states that anything greater than 8" is in violation. The front yard is grown up with weeds taller than this. The back yard is MUCH more of a problem with overgrowth even taller than the front yard. We are concerned about mosquitoes and other such problems as a result of this overgrowth. We would appreciate the City giving them a slight nudge to take care of this yard maintenance issue.
