The house at 2615 Rockport looks abandoned. Construction/repairs was being done on it but a large branch fell into the house in the back and now has a large hole in the roof. I'm concerned that the house has fallen into neglect and is now abandoned. Would the city please look into it and let me know what is going on with it?

Hello: I am not certain to whom I should report this problem. One of my neighbors (502 Jordan) has a shrub of poison ivy growing in the front yard. The poison ivy shrub is located in front of the house on the southeast corner of the property. Could you please ask the person who owns the house to get rid of this noxious plant?
Thank you,
Lynn Greenfield

Hi,
I graduated from Bloomington South in 1999 and lived a mile away from the school throughout the 80's and 90's. I never heard the football announcements from home during that time, so I am shocked to discover how loud they are now, now that I have moved back to the South Side and away from the noisy student rental area near campus. I can hear the football announcements clearly from Bryan Park, from my house in Sycamore Knolls, and from a friend's house in Spicewood, 1.6 miles away from the football field as the crow flies. A friend of mine who lives on Sweetbriar is completely miserable from all this noise.
There is no reason the announcements and music need to be so loud, and it is clearly a violation of city noise ordinances, especially after 9pm on Friday nights. More importantly, why does Bloomington South want to destroy the hearing of all their football players and fans?
Is there anything that can be done to plead with the school to be more reasonable?
14.09.030 - Noises prohibited.
(c)(4)
It shall be a violation of this chapter to play, use, operate or allow to be played, used, or operated any radio, television, digital media player, loudspeaker, sound amplifier, musical instrument, or any other machine or device for producing or reproducing sound in such a manner that the sound produced persists continuously or intermittently for a period of at least fifteen minutes and can be heard outside the immediate premises from the location of the emitter by a person with normal hearing. Sound that is clearly audible to a person with normal hearing from any place other than the premises from which the source of the sound is located, when the sound occurs between the hours of nine p.m. and seven a.m., is prima facie evidence of a violation of this section.
It seems like it would be a simple fix if the football announcers were to turn the volume down just a little bit, it would help a lot of people, and harm no one.
Thank you,
Katie Edmonds

Garage door is almost fallen off of track, hanging to one side. Green moss/fungus growing all over front on west side of house. East side of house has cleaned graffiti markings that can still visibly say "Fuck You."
House is one of Pendragon Properties' houses. How is Jeff Jones still allowed to rent in Bloomington after all these years of problems with him? How many court cases, HAND involvements, money owed does it take? Presumably, he most know someone. :(
This really sucks having him in our neighborhood. The houses are always trashed, he treats his tenants like a slum lord would, and we all have to deal with are neighborhood going downhill because for whatever unjust reason, the city or courts can't probably deal with him. We don't want him or his business in this respectable, family neighborhood.

A few weeks ago someone spraypainted the side of this house. It appears that the vinyl siding was replaced with siding from the back of the house. Because now the back of the house is exposed. Besides this, the house has mold growing all along the side of the house. Horrible shape.

Residents have large enclosed trampoline obstructing front lawn for over a week now. This is a major eyesore, and should be removed or put in their back yard

This carpet store has been destroyed for a **long** time now. I don't know what caused it, but that's irrelevant. This wreckage is an eyesore on one of the biggest inlets to the city.
I also worry that youth (like myself a number of years ago) like exploring things like that and could be injured from a falling wall or something. That's probably less of a worry, but you never know given it being next to the theatre.
Is it possible to hasten the cleanup, or at least removal of debris from this location?

Norman and code enforcement department,
Park Ridge needs your assistance again on this same address please.
3433_E._Third_St._property_needs_owner_attention
The house is not being cared for and has become a flophouse for the homeless and drug users. The backdoor is not locking now (I have tried) and inside it's a mess with evidence of trespassers using the house for various activities.
BPD has visited the house three times in the past 60 days due to the back door standing open. With the weather and trespassing occurring at the I address, you need to get the owner's attention to lock it up and also care
for it in a consistent manner. It has evidence of being abandoned. Also evident are the two waste and recycle toters at the front door - never touched by the homeowner. An advertisement that the house is vacant.
Has BPD contacted you for enforcement help?
Please help!
