Subject: Re: uReport Case #162510 - 3433_E._Third_St._property_needs_owner_attention Mike Arnold -- An update from a coupe weeks past on this address, I have been been busy or else would have sent a message sooner. 2/10/18: I reported to Bloomington Police the north, back of house, doors open. Lower door wide open, upper door open but storm door closed. Officers (six) arrived and cleared the house, Windows are still unlocked and storm windows may be opened as they are not closed in place on nearly all windows. Please make contact with the owner and request that they close all windows and check the two doors so they may be closed and locked. I have mentioned to you in the past, on the lower door, stone wall has fallen and mud prevents storm door to close. This needs attention. Please be more aggressive in your home owner contact. Monitoring this house and follow up on securing the house is now using Police time and resources. Plus my time and others neighbors concern that the house is being entered by homeless and others trespassers. It appears a mess inside and needs attention. If you cannot get results on this homeowner's negligence, see history back to 2004 where the city has sited issues, I will follow up with the Mayor and City legal. This needs to be solved to hold the homeowner accountable for action before something bad happens; house fire, frozen water pipes, trespassers cause issues. If you can, please tell me who the homeowner is and their contact information. I am willing to contact them to discuss issues (as the Neighborhood Association representative) - plus Bloomington Police wish to make contact. By the way - the house has not been occupied since December 2016. See attached photos Thanks - Steve Akers 3449 E. The house at 2615 Rockport looks abandoned. Construction/repairs was being done on it but a large branch fell into the house in the back and now has a large hole in the roof. I'm concerned that the house has fallen into neglect and is now abandoned. Would the city please look into it and let me know what is going on with it? -Lucas

Hello: I am not certain to whom I should report this problem. One of my neighbors (502 Jordan) has a shrub of poison ivy growing in the front yard. The poison ivy shrub is located in front of the house on the southeast corner of the property. Could you please ask the person who owns the house to get rid of this noxious plant? Thank you, Lynn Greenfield

The property at 411 E Glendora looks abandoned and in bad repair. It was on Zillow as rental property. There is an old car on site and it has windows broken out. There is also a discarded chair at curb. Can you please direct me to proper office to report the property. I drive by it everyday and it’s getting worse and definitely an eye sore. Thank you

I have been dealing with a leak from the upstate department for seven weeks now. I have spent my own money and my own time to redirect the leak. I have had to move furniture in my living room and bedroom. I spent multiple shop vac, moving furniture, vacuuming, and spraying the carpet. I have had absolutely no help from the summit point staff after making six submissions for their help. I would appreciate any help I can get.

Heard Green Acres wants a conservation district. This is an inappropriate use of historic preservation protections. Historic preservation should be to preserve history, not to prevent development as a NIMBY tactic. This area should be able to grow and evolve to meet the density and environmental priorities of the City. There are other areas that have superior and unique historic structures. Don't make a joke of historic preservation. Please include this in public comment in the packet. The City needs a plan for historic preservation of choosing key areas of the City to protect. Blocking general development helps no one. Areas adjacent to campus should maximize student housing for the benefit of all residents.

1122 S Henderson St

Case Date:

A large branch broke on the tree in the front yard of 1121 S Henderson. It’s about 30’ long and pretty big. It’s just barely hanging on. If it falls, it will most likely land in the sidewalk and could easily hurt or kill someone. This fell 3 weeks ago during the storm. I understand the tree folks are busy, but that has mostly slowed down. I even saw a truck stop and offer to remove it… I used this form because I didn’t see an option that made sense for this type of report.
