I was not sure who to contact, but I will start here. I live on S Washington St. and have noticed behavior of my neighbor I can no longer give any more chances to come back from. I noticed that I only see her come out with her dog once a day. I work from home, so I am consistently home every day, with a view of the street. This is behavior I have observed for months. I asked another neighbor if they had also noticed anything and they had. The dog is kept in a cage when the owner is typically gone 6-7 hours of the day. I am terrified that this poor creature is not able to relieve themselves because of anxiety and stress. I have not seen the dog come out of the house in days now, and am very confused on how this is possible for a growing dog, which is deeply concerning. Let me know what information you need going forward.

Hi there, I live at Madison Downtown, 200 S Madison Street// 47404. My current landlords are Granite Student Properties. (This property has changed property management companies 4x in the 3 years I've lived here.) There was, apparently, a literal dumpster fire at this apartment complex. It must have occurred either on 2/6/22 or the early morning of 2/7/22. My conspiracy theory: Granite seems to have been neglectful in arranging city or private trash/ recycling pickup, and the dumpster overfloweth. There was an impressive pile of trash that had accumulated over the last few weeks, it smelled, it was a problem. I'm guessing a disgruntled resident (or ex-, recently-evicted resident) set the dumpster aflame in an act of vengeance. Also, near the dumpster, there is a sizable pile of human excrement. Unclear if related. In any case, since the landlords seem to be doing literally nothing about it, this seems like something the city should know about?? Help us get a new dumpster? Make sure Granite properly informs its residents when said dumpster is on fire? Insist that Granite remove the human excrement in the apartment quad? IDK pls assist SOS help

I witnessed a type of "crash" at the corner of 7th Street and Morton. The driver was headed north on Morton, stopped at the stop sign, then turned right/east onto 7th Street but the driver first tried to pull into the bike lane, then at the last second hit the bike lane barrier so hard it sounded like a terrible crash. The driver/car lost a couple of large pieces of the car on 7th Street. There needs to be better signage especially for cars driving NORTH, turning EAST onto 7th Street.

This is a College town and the RENT here is CRAZY stupid HIGH! Every year my apartment raises it 20.00, this year it was raised 35.00! Now new buildings go up with rent even HIGHER! Then BEACON wants a GRANT for the HOMELESS?!?!?! ARE YOU SERIOUS? Let's FOCUS on the WORKING class citizens FIRST! I don't want to live in a DUMP, nor should I? But to pay $755.00 for a one bedroom, is the cheapest? That is what I am paying and trust me it isn't even the nicest. WHY NOT FOCUS ON CAPS for these SLUM LORDS who make a fortune! There is trash and yard debris all over this lot. The trash/debris travel to the street/other houses with storms. This is a problem all year long. The address does not have number: it is on W Cottage Grove Av between 1208 and 1212.

In my neighborhood is an unhappy (I assume) dog that barks most of the day most days. It can start early, say, 7 am, and go late. I hear it clearly because its residence (324 S. Rogers Street) and mine are close, and the barking is irritating and destructive of the peace that one expects to have in one's own home. I assume (but don't know) that the dog barks mostly when the owner is not at home, and so may not be aware of his/her dog's misery and the misery it causes the neighborhood.
