I wrote to the City, ticket 169435, and felt the reaction was strange. The case was closed after Parks and Rec said they do not oversee that area. That was my point. Perhaps if some development was done there, the situation would be better.

Does Bloomington have an ordnance requiring Land lords to do background check on tenants before entering into contracts either tenants? I’m told this help make landlords aware of crimes against children and sex offenders . Is this true if so can I have a copy of this emailed to me? I have looked and can’t seem to find any such ordinance . I’m hoping this is a real thing. I’d like to bring this to my town board to be put in place in my home town to help keep children safe as much as we can. Thank you for your help.
I am very concerned with the Mayor's comments about the Farmer's Market. You cannot have it both ways, you don't get to condemn white nationalists in one sentence and then welcome all in the next. I would like to see some clarification on what he meant by this statement. “As Mayor, I have spoken for our city to condemn white nationalism and white supremacists as a scourge on our country and our community, and to promise that we will do all we can to overcome their legacies and any current efforts,” said Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton. “We also want to assure that everyone knows that all are welcome in our inclusive Bloomington, and that our Farmers’ Market will embody those values of inclusion and welcoming, as well as be a safe space for all to gather, as our community expects every Saturday.” This reads like White Nationalists are welcome. Abandoned vehicle at 1602 W 7th.
This is a part of a sidewalk on Winslow between Henderson and Piccadilly and is on the south side of Winslow. It has been like this for a few years, has been previously reported by me and our HOA at Sherwood Green with nothing done. Many people walk/run/skateboard/bike on this sidewalk. There is a man in a wheel chair who uses this sidewalk. It is particularly hazardous during winter with the ice/snow. Please fix this!
