Location of your Problem: 1821 and 1824 E Thornton Drive
Details: I live on East Thornton Drive in Beechwood Manor II. I have a copy of the ordinance for our neighborhood (found in plat book 7, page 99). The ordinance states that "Every dwelling shall have a ...driveway... All residents are to park off the street on these drives..." Two of my neighbors regularly park thier cars on the street. House 1821 parks one of their cars on the street, and house 1824 parks 2 cars on the street. This is becoming an issue because snow plows cannot clear snow effectively and the trash trucks need to pull back and forth multiple times to turn around in the cul-de-sac. Will someone from the city remind my neighbors that they cannot park in the street? Thank you!

Location of your Problem: 408 S S. Jordan
Details: Our neighbors have failed to use their trash cans which are laying beside the trash bags that sit next to their side door. We have a window that faces their side porch where they put their trash bags. On multiple occasions we have seen 1-3 rats rummaging through their garbage. Their trash is then blown across to our yard or into the street.

Writer wants to know why the 75-100 years old osage-orange tree that was in Ninth St Park was cut down. This was a beautiful tree, showed no signs of illness, and was one of the largest of its species left in the county. (see e-mail).

Like many others in my neighborhood, I have had items stolen from my (unlocked) car this summer. In particular an empty Ray Ban sunglasses case, and a cheap GSP system ($100). I noticed the items were missing about July 7.

Location of your Problem: ?? Southdowns
Details: The branches of the trees (willows?) on Southdowns are hitting cyclists in the face if they stay in the designated bike lane, between Woodlawn (Bryan Park) and Highland. Please check both sides of Southdowns (one-way traffic). I think the trees need a trim.

We live on Wellington Drive in Sherwood Oaks and our street sign is turned so it looks like Wellington is Allendale and vice versa. Also off of Allendale, the Roxbury sign is bent. Many of the street signs hang crooked. I was hoping we could get a street sign crew to come check out our neighborhood sometime soon.
Thanks,

Location of your Problem: 500 S Eastside Drive
Details: "Hunter foot path" (between Mitchell and Eastside Drive) starting to be overgrown by weeds. Whose responsibility is it to keep the path free of weeds: the 500 Eastside Drive people or the city who made the adjacent ditch and foot path?

Location of your Problem: 1800 E Second
Details: Residential Neighborhood Parking sign missing? The other day a car parked in the 1800 bloc of E Second Street got a ticket. I felt sorry for the person because there was no "Residential Neighborhood Parking" sign at that section of Second Street. There are 2 close by but they could be perceived as pertaining only to those sections and not to the next, where the car was parked. If parking is not allowed there (which I think it is not) could you please put up a sign? Thanks.
