A young police officer stopped my husband and I last night in front of Convention Center on S. College to tell us our license plate was expired. He could not have been more polite. Apparently, there is a mistake on our license plate sticker which we were unaware of and our registration showed the correct date of June. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name. Thank you to the officer!!
Scooters being stolen all over the City. We need to set up. Bait scooters and Catch these Thieves. They ruin people's li es and Jobs due to when they steal them, they take away so much from the person. Most are not being found due to the theifs not being found and prosecuted. Please,Please look into this. Sincerely a former scooter theft victim. P.s. I commend the officers that found my scooter and am Greatly pleased how they were in the right time at the right place. Quit employing unprofessional police officers. These people have no idea what it is to serve and protect like me and the rest of our military veterans. The so called police officers only car about one thing and that is to show everyone they think they're tough. I have a great idea, use our tax dollars on adults and not fuckheads.

Dear Mayor Hamilton, While driving on South Walnut today, I was directly behind a black and white car which obviously had been a police car. It still had the extra side mirrors as equipment and a police decal on the lower left panel. This sighting prompted me to write to you. I would like to inquire what the policy is for the City of Bloomington patrol cars which are auctioned. Are they stripped of any exterior equipment before they are sold? With crimes against the public, particularly women, involving individuals impersonating police officers, I would hope removing any visible signs which might confuse or falsely indicate these cars are police cars is a mandatory procedure taken prior to auction. Thank you for your attention to my concern.
Dear Mayor, After the events in Baton Rouge LA,, Falcon Heights Minnesota, and Dallas TX what can you tell Monroe County residents about race relations in Bloomington. How does the Bloomington Police department connect with minorities in our city. What are their outreach programs with citizens on Pigeon Hill? Can anything further be done? I grew up in Bloomington, attending Broadview Elementary, Central Middle School, and Bloomington South. I have always viewed our city as a melting pot. I am not sure how the crime map works? I selected it and the left hand menu shows Bloomington, IN. HOwever, it remains on a US map and displays a modal pop-up that says "Please check the address for accuracy and try again." I was using Chrome.
There is a Mazda Tribute, that has been parked across the street from my residence since I moved in on August 8th. The vehicle has not moved since I have been moved in, It has flat tires, and looks to be broken. I would like the vehicle to be moved off of the street, as it makes backing out difficult.
