Adrian Reid has asked for a few bike loops to be placed in front of the Bikesmith at 112 S College Ave. We have look at the site and talked to the business and there is enough room on the sidewalk in front of the shop for 3 bike loops. Mr. Prosser is a bicyclist. In October he sent Jim Sherman a letter inspired by the recent BPD brochure on bicycles. He notes that BMC 15.56.020, which prohibits bicycles with a wheel radius of over 14" from riding on the sidewalk, in effect allows all bicycles to be ridden on the sidewalk. He suggests that the code be amended to read "diameter." He also suggests that, in the future, the brochure correctly use "wheelbase." Please refer to B&PSC and the Traffic Commission. Thank You.

REFERRED BY STREET DEPT: THERE IS A HOLE IN THE BLACKTOP AT THE CORNER OF HIGHLAND AVENUE & MILLER DRIVE (HIGHLAND HOMES SUBDIVISION). PER STREET DEPT. IT SEEMS THAT THE SEWER LINE WAS NOT COMPACTED BEFORE IT WAS COVERED BY BLACKTOP. THE SIDEWALK AS WELL AS THE ROAD APPEAR TO BE SINKING IN. IT DOES SEEM LIKE SOMEONE, THEY DO NOT KNOW WHO, HAS BEEN OUT LOOKING AT THE PROBLEM.
