This pond scum was not present from 2019 until this year. Regency multi family purchased the land about 2 years ago. Concerned about lawn chemicals and fertilizers in this retention pond which feeds into creek along creek’s edge drive. A Beaver lives here in the past and a rare Duck. I was walking my dog in this neighborhood recently and I was surprised to see speed bumps on this block — it’s a narrow street, barely used, and you can’t get any speed because you have to turn at either 6th or 7th. I asked a neighbor why the city installed these and was told a new resident installed them on their own. Is that permissible??
I was thinking of applying for the vacancy on the bicyclist and pedestrian commission. To learn more about the commission, I attempted to read the commission’s minutes. They are nearly incomprehensible, at least to an outsider, with little punctuation, run-on sentences and a total lack of context. The minutes are not a helpful tool for people to learn about what the commission does, which one would think is the point of a public record.
Both of these locations, and many more, still are snow covered almost a week after the snow stopped. Please enforce the snow clearing ordinance more vigorously. Please also require property owners to clear corners instead of leaving snow between the sidewalk and the street. Thank you.
Snow and ice cover this corner on both streets. The snow stopped falling on Saturday and it’s Wednesday morning. Please do a better job of enforcing the ordinance. And please clear the alleys where they intersect with sidewalks. Sidewalks are part of our transportation system. Please treat them like streets. Thanks.
