The people in the downstairs apartment have a puppy that has been howling incessantly for 48+ hours. The owners have not been home in a while. The puppy sounds like it hasn't moved in a long time. We have attempted to contact the owners with no success.

I have been smelling smoke in the evenings that I believe may be coming from homeless encampments along the Rail Trail, the gravel road parallel to the Rail Trail, and other City Property in the woods. The homeless were already removed from these city properties. The City needs to continue to monitor this area and enforce city ordinances and other rules and laws against camping there. Check the entire stretch of woods from Country Club Drive to Gordon Pike and kick everyone out immediately. Do not let this problem continue, as it was a major issue in 2024 with dangerous fires, numerous police searches for armed and wanted individuals living and hiding in the camps, fights between homeless, and a general threat to the health and safety of any citizen using the trail system. Please investigate and continue to monitor to make sure there are no homeless camps now or in the future in that area of the city. It is a horrible problem to allow it to get rooted in the woods there, so stop it as soon as possible.

I would like to thank the city of Bloomington for their professional assistance in helping me avoid a significant problem at my home during the recent snap of epic cold weather. It all began with frozen water pipes when I failed to keep a small stream of water running in my city townhouse; there was no excuse on my part for the mistake. To make matters worse, I needed to catch a flight out of town later that day. This is where the city came to the rescue. I quickly and easily found the city utility web site and created a work ticket from the easy to follow instructions. Literally within minutes, a highly trained and cordial city employee called me and walked me through the steps I needed to take to reduce any potential damage to my water pipes. Only minutes later, a two person team arrived and worked in zero degree weather and quickly turned off the water at the meter. They went so far as to reassure me that they would be back soon after I got back to town and to just give them a call. Despite the near zero temperature, they never once complained about the outdoor working conditions. I was impressed. When I got back to town, I created another work ticket, and the customer service process repeated itself, leading to a perfect resolution to the problem. My Little 500 2015 red bike was left outside of ZnC on Kirkwood at around 2:40am (Wednesday). Next time I checked the bike was gone. I uploaded the most recent picture of my bike.
