The deer problem is really bad. When is the city going to do something about this. It's a public health issue with disease transmission, it's a safety issue with traffic and small animals and children and it's not healthy for the deer either. Now we have to also worry about neighbors feeding the deer. Please pass this along so that something effective and humane can be done!

There has been a fiber box sitting in my front yard for over 4 months. There is no name on it so I have no idea who to call and complain to. In 4 months time someone should have done something with it or at least removed it. If I could move it into the street and off my property I would as this has been sitting there for 4 months. What am I supposed to do. I assume this has to do with the City Of Bloomington fiber initiative as this neighborhood already has fiber installed. Smithville, very professionally, installed their box very quickly leaving nothing sitting around on our property for months. Pleas help me find out who I can contact to get rid of this. If no additional fiber is being installed then they need to pick up their box.

The Project School of
Bloomington is having a performance at the MCPL tonight, in their auditorium of sorts. The school previously encouraged parents to let their children sit in the aisles in lieu of seats(or in laps) to account for how packed they would be. At the performance, there are indeed children sitting in the aisle and making an emergency exit a lot more dangerous than it should be. Perhaps the occupancy limit hasn’t been reached, but it doesn’t seem ok for this to happen, especially considering they dim the lights and the only exits are down those stairs.

This will be my FOURTH TIME contacting the city to report this issue. In front of my house, on the city easement, is a grand old hard maple that unfortunately died this past summer. I have reported this to Lee Hoff twice by phone, and this is my second ereport. I have had no response to my ereports and Lee did not put a priority on its removal. Today, in the storms, a large limb fell between my house and the neighbor's, in the parking pad where his car usually is. Fortunately, the car wasn't there, but I can tell that this will be the first of many limbs to follow and we can not assume to be so lucky the next time! As this tree is clearly dead, clearly a city tree, and clearly a hazard, I request that it's removal be expedited before more serious damage, or injury occurs. The address is 1115 W. 6th St. The sugar maple is the easternmost tree and clearly dead. Thank you.

Hello,
I have a question about the city's pesticide program. I was wondering if fireflies have been taken into account, including how firefly hang out in grasses and, especially, how firefly larvae eat various insects and other creatures that might have ingested pesticides. Since fireflies are diminishing throughout the world for various reasons that seem to be mostly unknown (besides the obvious like habitat loss), pesticide use and light pollution are two theories for why based on current research. The pesticide-use theory links it to a slow diminishment, so still having fireflies doesn't mean pesticide use isn't an issue.
I am grateful for the fireflies we have in our area, and this question has been on my mind for a while, so I wanted to check in and see what information you have.
I appreciate your time.
Thank you,
Karisha Kirk
