Next week the Roger's School will start. The school, since August of 2021, has instructed parents to drop off and pick up students to and from the parents' vehicles by using the 1st St entrance off S High St to the Faculty and Staff parking area. This is a drive-through use which is not allowed in the MI zone. Variance V-17-14 addressed this issue stating that the central area to the east of Rogers School was to be used for student drop off and pick up and that the west parking area was to be used by only the Faculty and Staff. This was clearing stated in both the Planning Staff report and testimony as well as the MCCSC representatives' letters and under oath testimony. This restriction of no student drop off and pickup in the west parking area was a continuation of the policy that MCCSC agreed to with the City several years earlier. The west parking area has a gate and signs that limit access to Faculty and Staff only. In August of 2021, MCCSC and Roger's School started to allow student drop off and pickup in the west parking area has a Covid related safety issues. The Roger's Principal stated that this drop off and pickup policy would be temporary. The Covid issue is no longer relevant but the drop off and pickup continues. As a result, at the school start and end times, S High St is often backed up to the 2nd and Maxwell Streets intersections. E 1st street is backed up past Clifton and the driveways on 1st Street are blocked. I ask the City to enforce the UDO and the variance statements. Student drop off and pickup by parents in vehicles should be restricted to the central area only. This was the plan as stated by the City and MCCSC and is consistent with not allowing drive-throughs in the MI zone.

There is a foul odor in the neighborhood on some evenings after dark. It smells like chemicals to me. Other neighbors describe it as "burning trash". I'm concerned that it may be meth.

Please, clean up our neiborhood. We are trying to live a decent life. This property is atrocious and an eyesore. There seems to be something rotting there, because the smell is horrible. There are also people squatting there from time to time. It is totally overgrown. I understand that this property is owned by a city attorney, but that should not make any difference. Hold them to the same standards everyone else is held to.

My wife and I walk our dogs on the trail between Fenbrook Lane and Hoosier Acres and noticed someone had cut down trees south of Homestead Dr. along Meadowbrook Lane. We thought those were City trees.

apartment infestation not resolved, exterminator sprays chemicals 2-3 times a week in unventilated rooms. Concern for our health and safety as apartment doesn’t have a resolution for the situation and fear long term effects of the chemicals being used

--Exterior-- Large hole in exterior wall exposing reinforcement materials. 2 windows where the sealing to the double paned glass is defective Man drilled holes in foundation of unit thought to be main cause of pest infestation Exterior clogged dryer vents pose risk for CO --Interior-- Damaged baseboards including large gaps and chipping paint Expired inspection of fire extinguisher Broken stove capacitor - front left burner on max heat with any temp setting Bug, urine and droppings found on baseboards Damaged plumbing caulking on tub along with mold/mildew on most if not all sealant and surrounding areas of tub Ripped carpets along doorway thresholds in bedroom and office, tripping hazard Chronic exposure to insecticides in laundry room causing medical symptoms Unable to use laundry unit or laundry room due to active infestation Slip hazard due to large amount of chemicals on laundry room floor pose a risk for injury to residence and others Other No move in inspection.
