Today I parked in spot 115B on the east side of the square. I swiped my card several times, and it kept saying "transaction cancelled". I had just used my debit card at the store with no issues. I dug through the car for change, and was able to pay with change with no issues. But the meter refused to accept my card. I have never had a problem before, and it was very strange.

I am writing to urge you to extend the amount of time between the issuance of a parking ticket and the date on which the price of that ticket doubles. I realize I am lucky to have a secure job associated with a decent wage that allows me to occasionally absorb the cost of a parking ticket, for those rare times when I accidentally exceed my expected amount of time downtown. However, it was not so long ago, when I was a graduate student, that I truly lived paycheck-to-paycheck, and had a lot of difficulty making it through the second half of the month. A $20 parking ticket which doubles in price within 10 days would have been a very difficult expense to manage. And it should be recognized that even those of us who diligently pay our meters occasionally run into difficulties that cause us to run over. At the same time, we often overpay for the meter ($$ for which we are never reimbursed). In any event, a parking ticket that doubles in price within 10 days puts an undue burden on those residents of Bloomington who are in a challenging financial situation. I suggest you extend the remission time to 30 days to allow your city's residents to better manage their household budgets. Regards, Dr. Kim Novick 904 E 14th Street Bloomington, IN 47408

went downtown to shop for the holidays. Was late to the meter by 5 minutes. got a $20 ticket. Goodbye downtown. Hello amazon. Cheaper, easier, and they don't give these outrageous fines. Thought you might want to know. I am sending a letter to the Book Corner, and another to Goods for Cooks, to let them know they will never see me again. Not a great idea on your part, if you asked me. For the sake of downtown and these businesses, I hope I am wrong. But I doubt it.

Citation # Q1500545: I put my credit card into the wrong meter (chose the one facing my parking slot) & didn't realize I had to use Meter/Space Number 102B (because it was facing the other way). When I came out of Samira Restaurant, I still had 16' of unexpired time (in the "wrong" meter). I hope you will understand that I actually did pay for my parking space. Thank you

I am hoping that i can be credited for my lack of action manually deactivating my parking session. I love the app and convenience of using the app for parking. However, the new pricing model requiring a stop action tripped me up...and I think it is more difficult and not as user friendly. I only parked for 30 minutes ..however, I was charged for the entire day: Transaction Details: Session Id: IC4494037815168R Activated: 6/17/2015 10:28 AM Deactivated: 6/17/2015 10:28 PM Zone: 76133 Location Bloomington, IN Space: n/a License Plate Number: HH1395 Parking fee: $10.75 Transaction fee: $0.50 Total Cost: $11.25 Please let me know your thoughts as I contemplate if I should continue to use the app..
