1. Parking meter is comparable to every other parking meter in town. 2. Meter is clearly configured and marked to accept coins: coin slot, label stating “COINS” with an arrow plus a notice “INSERT VALID COINS ONLY” 3. Despite the clear labeling and configuration of the meter to accept coins, alternating digital display actually reveals “CARDS ONLY” 4. Someone using the meter puts money in, only to get nothing for it, and THEN discover that despite the labeling, this particular meter (unlike hundred of others like it all over town) DOES NOT ACCEPT COINS. 5. Not accepting cash is an equity issue. Not everyone carries a credit card around. 6. There is no reason to make this so utterly confusing. This problem of misleading labels on the meter about accepting coins but not actually delivering paid time to park seems to be either a scam, incompetence, or laziness.

I was issued a parking ticket after selling a vehicle. It is a black kawasaki. I sold it August 17th and was issued a parking ticket for that vehicle with a date in September. I did NOT give my license plate in the transfer of the vehicle. I called and a lady told me she would remove the ticket from my file because it was a mistake but I now have a collection wanting the money. Please get back with me. My name is Leif Strong. I have spoken to three different people this morning working for the parking department, all of whom have been unhelpful and rude. Each time I have an interaction with anyone from the parking department, it is unpleasant and unprofessional. This behavior is unacceptable for any person to behave in this way, especially someone who is employed by my government. In the first incident, I politely asked the woman why I was recieving a ticket and that I did not understand. She was rude and unhelpful. After this, I called the number printed on my ticket and spoke to the parking manager, also asking her why I had received my ticket; as well as voicing my concern about the way that I was previously treated. Instead of offering to make the situation right, she lectured me on how "more people should care about accessibility issues" and that since I was blocking the sidewalk entrance, she "hopes I never end up in a wheelchair and need to access the sidewalk". After politely bringing the first woman to her attention, I was immediately met with MORE uncalled for disrespect. I then followed up and called the second woman's boss. Thankfully, I understand now why I got the ticket, but I do not trust that the situation has been handled. However, each person in this department clearly needs to take a course in customer service.

A pickup with temporary plates, now expired #483A445 has been alternately parked here, in front of 1203 and the corner house on adams since the temporary plates were put on about a month ago. The plates expired June 10, and the vehicle seems to be on blocks presumably preventing rolling.

A charcoal Grey Jeep Cherokee Indiana License plate # UP5372 has been parked in front of our house for months. It has not moved. It looks like an expensive car, so abandoned for the summer by a foreign student? Isn't there a time limit on parking spaces?
