Oak tree along Cascade trail (across from dog park) could use a little attention. It's been like this for at least two months. Certain mowing crew has seen this, along with the sign they mowed over. Not certain why they have not taken the initiative to correct this... Respectfully, Ralph Vargas

Hi! There is an abandoned bike tire locked to the city's bike rack at the B-Line and Dodds in front of Hopscotch. Can you please remove it? Thank you! Jane

Hello. I am a regular user of the Bloomington Rail Trail. I love the trail, however, recently the trail was altered in a way that is dangerous and less than ideal for running, walking, and biking. The original surface was recently disturbed with new material which was applied unevenly and makes it hazardous or impossible to run and bike on. I have seen several minor accidents and suspect more are occurring. I know several in the fitness community that are unhappy with the recent changes to the trail. I would appreciate any info on why this change was made and if there are any plans to improve the situation. Thank you! Craig

I wanted to ask the city to consider re-repairing the section of the Rails to Trails trail between the roundabout near Church Lane and Country Club road. Whoever attempted to "repair" that section several weeks ago either did not know what they were doing or did not care. I actually watched them put the initial layer of loose gravel down and it was obvious that the workers had never done that kind of thing before on a trail. The loose gravel used to "repair" some low spots has become a "death trap" for unsuspecting bikers. I am an experienced biker and almost went down on my mountain bike. An attempt was made to cover this loose gravel with a mixture of crushed and packed limestone, but that has become a bumpy mess. PLEASE get someone to properly repair this section before someone is seriously injured.

Hello - I'm concerned about the use of the herbicide glyphosate on our city medians and on the B-Line Trail. Please stop using this chemical immediately - it's killing bees. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1y1sdsyIWCfovyoTuvyMWRLRQyn0z1P5O5ntTM1MOct8/pubhtml?gid=216428649&single=true I understand it reduces the manual labor involved in weed removal, but when measured against the environmental impact on vulnerable species, I don't think its use can be defended. https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2018/09/common-weed-killer-believed-harmless-animals-may-be-harming-bees-worldwide Thank you for your time.
