Reaching out potentially for more information. We have a lot of Residents who use this trail by our property at City Flats and they have continuously complained about the downed trees and brush around the trail and being a potential fire hazard. More information if this could be cleaned up or if there are limits would be appreciated! Email is best but I will happily speak to someone over the phone.
On the trail that connects Olcott Park with the Sherwood Oaks Park and the Goat Farm, the lights along the trail stay on all day. In the past, they would turn off when it was bright and sunny out, but not any more. This has been occurring for the last few weeks. It seems like a waste of energy. Thanks!
After the last heavy rain in Bloomington, I noticed a large tree next to Jackson Creek on The Goat Farm is going to fall. The roots are showing and the tree is leaning over the creek water. It looks very dangerous because sometimes the children come to play in the water and they may get hurt. If no action is taken, the tree will fall down into the water and block the creek water flowing and cause more damage later. Please see the picture attached above.
Sycamore tree down on the the East Fork of the Jackson Cree trail.
Homeowner has built their own private staircase and path on park property
A couple of dangerous trees/branches suspended above or about to fall onto latimer woods trail. Could be very dangerous.
There is a birch tree vandalized with racist hate. Vertically, in large letters, is the N word and above it is carved the initials of the KKK. I hope something can be done to erase this message of hate from this beautiful bike trail. To find the vandalized tree, start at the parking lot with the yellow gate and take a left, through the grassy field with the pile of logs to the right. Continue the trail until you get to what I call the staircase of roots. At first, the birch tree in question will be to the right, but to see the hateful message, you'll have to turn around so it is to your left.
Tree coming down on Renwick trail. May have already been reported? Thanks.
Trees in right of way have been tagged for removal on S High between Arden and Wimbleton for recreational trail project. Will debris be removed from this? When Duke contractors trimmed trees on opposite side of street they left behind an awful mess.
