...
No clock time is given for the deadline.
...
A highlight of the document is a new general police order, dated Aug. 13, 2021, with the title “Police Interaction with Homeless Encampments.”
...
The city council’s ordinance would have required that personal belongings be stored for 60 days.
...
The notices posted on Tuesday note that “Camping is not allowed on public property.”
...
Dana Jones, director of Wheeler Mission Ministries, pointed out that for people to be camping out is not something unique to Wheeler Mission’s location.

On the outer loop of the trail (at the bottom of the hill if you enter left where the pavillion is) there's a tent that I believe someone is living in. Was hoping to guide this individual to the Homelessness Resources department if possible. Thanks

I previously reported a developing homeless encampment along the Clear Creek Trail just south of Gordon Pike along the Clear Creek under #188290, but the response said it was on private property. According to the county GIS, it is public property owned by the City. Thus, I think it should be addressed.

There is another homeless encampment going up right along the Clear Creek Trail just south of it's intersection with Gordon. I walk this alot with my young kids and play basketball in the Unitarians parking lot right there, and it is trashy and unsafe. It needs to be removed.

There are a couple folks sleeping in the pavilion area and one tent erected on the nature trail. Have seen them the past few days taking my dog for a walk. Not sure if these are folks experiencing homelessness but figured city should be aware.

I was biking on the B-line, heading south between Rogers and the Showers plaza. There was an MSI guy in one of those little cars they have in the right hand lane. The little car takes up the whole lane and he was driving slowly, which is fine, but I wanted to pass him. So I crept into the left hand lane, craning my neck to make sure there was no one oncoming while I passed. But while I was doing that, the MSI driver started to drift into the left hand lane as well! I didn't know what to make of that so I braked. As I tried to pass again, I tried calling out but I don't know if he heard me. Those things have right-hand drive, so he was on the opposite side of the car from me and as I crept past, it seems he was looking in his right mirror? Anyway please remind them to maintain their lanes or at least to look all around before deviating from their path. Thanks!

Shortly before 2pm I observed a small black SUV turn from Gordon Pike onto the Rail Trail crossing on the north side of the road, then head east on the multi-use path. The vehicle continued east toward the gravel road that runs parallel to the Rail Trail on its east side. I was driving and unable to take a photo. I have observed a similar vehicle parked at the homeless camps on City property back along that gravel trail. Can the City block this area so that vehicular traffic is unable to illegally drive into the homeless camps to remove the incentive to illegally drive onto the multi-use trail and Rail Trail? The homeless camps need to be removed as they are attracting all sorts of bad behavior and making the entire area less safe for anyone using the paths and trails. The City is allowing homeless camps on City property. These need to be removed all the way from Gordon Pike to Country Club Drive, and in Switchyard Park too.
