The tree plot has rock all over. Per parks code about maintaining this tree plot, isn’t this supposed to be grass? Can you please resolve this so further damage is not potentially caused to the tree roots? Hope to see more green in these little urban patches throughout the city

Can the city do something about the very large homeless encampments on both sides of switchyard park - B-Line trail near the dog parks. I like to bring my dogs to the dog park, but am uncomfortable with such a big encampment of homeless so close to the park and the kids play grounds as well. There’s a lot of trash blowing around on at both encampments and this afternoon they had open “camp” fires burning. As a single women with my dogs, I have to say I’m very uncomfortable walking my dogs on the B-line in Switchyard park and using the dog park with so many homeless camping in the immediate area of Switchyard park. Thank you.

In response to uReport 187125: The response from the City said, "the majority of these issues are taking place on private property." Based on the location of the camps I was referring to, just north of Gordon Pike and to the east of the Rail Trail and east of the parallel gravel road, these are located on City-owned property. An image from the GIS showing the property owners of record for the parcels and the general area of the camps is attached. The City need not work with any private landowners to clean this up. It is City property being used to make the trail unsafe for everyone. Clear this activity out so it can make the secluded, wooded trail safer for all users. Thanks.

On Sunday afternoon after all the rain, I noticed a debris dam across the creek that was holding back some water. Yesterday it was not holding back water, but remains in a position to collect more debris in the next rains. On Sunday I could see from the trail through Olcott woods that the water had overflowed at the dam and moved across the low land on the north side of the creek, through the grove of pawpaws.. Part of the debris came from a pile that had been just below the bridge. The dam includes a tree trunk that is now caught on an upright tree. If you go to the bridge and stand on the Olcott end and look downstream, you can see the debris dam.

Please clear all of the homeless camps along the Bloomington Rail Trail. They are living along the trail on City owned property and it is making the trail less safe for everyone who uses the trail system. Please clear all of this illegal activity out before it becomes a bigger hazard like it has done in many other areas of the City. A secluded, wooded trail area is not the proper place to allow this congregation of a community that is known to have murders, thefts, fires, drug use, and other issues in various other camps the City and County have shut down. Take this seriously and clean up the trails for the residents of Bloomington be safely enjoy.

B-Line Trail, Bloomington, IN, USA

The B-Line is icy and snowy. It is usually very well taken care of during the winter, but it is treacherous to ride in some sections. I understand that the temperatures are abnormally low, but compared to the roadway, it is a mess. I would expect at least some salt on it to help melt the ice and snow. Thank you for your help keeping this trail safe for users!
