Hi - there is a mosquito infestation in the woods between Oaklawn park & meadowcreek. I can see the trail from backyard. There was a cloud of mosquitos. It is a wildlife sanctuary there are what I believe rare birds I do not want it cut down but I want an arborist/ ecologist to assess if pine forests naturally have 2 feet of weeds, vines, underbrush. I googled misquote habitat & it says this exactly. Does the city own this easement ( trail)? If not - is it in city limits & issue a citation? I looked on city website there is a line here so I don’t know if the woods is on city or county side. There is a new disease in America , EEE, that mosquitos carry and it can be fatal or cause seizures. I know Mother Nature does their landscaping. Switchyard Brewing reports several attempts to reach city landscaping department requesting this area have sod laid. Business owner has attempted to repair himself with no luck. Stated it has been dirt since they opened, and requests city assistance.

We are the 1556 S. Andrew Circle, Bloomington residents. This dead tree belongs to the City and it happened to be located right in front of our house. It really hurts our neighborhood’s green environment. We are encouraged to notify the City in order to remove or replace this Dead Tree ASAP. We tried several calls within the last three weeks, but no one really knows where we need to report. Finally we were asked to contact Mr. LEE from your forest department. But He neither answer our phone call nor response to our messages. We are very upset with Lee’s irresponsible attitude. If this is not his responsibility, he needs to call us and let us know who will be the right person to call. His ignorance to residents’s request is not acceptable. We are forced to write this email and hope City will pay attention to it. There is no too small things can be ignored if City really takes its responsibility. Hope to hear from you soon. There is a section of 'street' between Dunn and Henderson that I believe was supposed to be a continuation of E Wilson Street. It is just a grass area that the city owns. However, the city is doing no maintenance on this piece of property. There is a dead pine tree that needs to be removed and a very large maple tree that is overgrown and threatening to drop branches onto cars. This tree also present a health issue in that there is a large poison ivy vine growing up the tree. I have tried calling the city forester multiple times without response. Can the one tree be removed, the other pruned and cleared of poison ivy, and the grass on this city land occasionally mowed?

There is a sick and unstable tree that is posing a big risk for the neighbors, some of which walking with kids and strollers (babies). Please take care of this asap. It's at 4007 E stonegate Ct. 47401.

City Tree: I have previously spoken with the Director of the forestry dept in Park and Rec regarding this issue, but the issue has yet to be resolved. He said that the tree should be take care of at some point this Spring. I'm still hoping and waiting. The tree is a very large/tall dead Ash tree. The tree is a "City tree" along my property. The tree is very tall, is an Ash, and is dead. I would really hope that it would be taken down before it falls down and before it spreads many more emerald ash borers. The Tree is along West 12th Street at the corner of my property and the gravel alley the runs in the direction of W. 11th.

The City of Bloomington removed a tree approximately three years ago at the corner of Lincoln and 7th St. We would like to know if the City can plant another tree in that mow strip along 7th Street where the City had removed the tree.
