Trash can + recycling cans were delivered to 2105 S. Rogers St., which is an undeveloped grass lot, and 2101 1/2 S. Rogers St., which is an abandoned uninhabitable house. Both are located on the private drive at the 2101 block of S. Rogers St bordered by the horse pasture to the south. Sanitation employees will have to walk down the drive to the individual lots to retrieve the bins.
We were charged over $300 under sanitation for "Large Item Pick up", however, were not responsible for any items that were allegedly picked up. I have tried to get in contact with the sanitation department for the past month with no avail. I would like to get this issue resolved so I am not responsible for the charges or the late fees that could potentially accrue. My wife is disabled and I travel (overnight) during the week. She has muscular dystrophy and is unable to handle the carts. We are on an alley and have a gated section of our privacy fence for trash cans that is right on the alley. Would it be possible for the workers to place the carts back in the gated area for the trash cans so they are not out in the open weekdays?

Not sure why my trash was not picked up yesterday (Thursday). My recycling was collected, but not two bags of trash (with stickers showing clearly). I guess I can put them in my garage until next Wednesday night, but if there was a problem with the trash that kept it from being picked up, I would like to know what that problem was.
I do not see a way on the website to give feedback so I am using this form. I would ask that you forward the information to the Sanitation Department. I was reading the proposed changes to the trash pick-up at https://bloomington.in.gov/sanitationmodernization. It states that the new rates would be $6-$18/month. This penalizes families who work hard to reduce waste. For the past decade or more we have averaged fewer than 8-10 bags of garbage a year. You are proposing that I now start paying a monthly fee whether I put out garbage or not. I will not belabor the point, but you are asking me to go from paying $16/year to, at best, $72/year. This would not appear to incent conservation in any way.
hello, I noticed that the town dropped off garbage and recycling cans this morning. I saw them dropping them off at everyones houses but when I went outside to bring them in I noticed that none were dropped off in front of our house. I was just wondering if there is a way that we can get them still. Thank you
I live in a single-family house--807 W 6th and ordered two small trash cans; came home to find four large. Need these removed and the correct trash cans delivered. Also need a way to double-check that I am not being charged for two large trash pickups per week, so will need a method to check this.
The trash was NOT picked up on 10-3-17 at 601 W. Kirkwood Ave. The new trash container is on the Jakson St. side of the house where it has been picked up for years.
