We were charged over $300 under sanitation for "Large Item Pick up", however, were not responsible for any items that were allegedly picked up. I have tried to get in contact with the sanitation department for the past month with no avail. I would like to get this issue resolved so I am not responsible for the charges or the late fees that could potentially accrue. Recycling truck crew apparently was in such a galopping hurry this morning that they did not take enough time to properly empty our recycling can. Nothing in here is stuck. This is not the first time. They were there because the upper half of the contents of the can was emptied.

Good morning, I am just curious if our trash and recycle will be picked up this week. I am at 1110 N Jackson Street. Our trash/recycle did not get picked up for two weeks during the holidays and it became an issue where we could not fit all of our recycle in the bin within your guidelines and had to keep it another week. Our trash was not collected this morning, and still has not been collected, even though it is our normal trash collection day.
This morning we had trash pick-up and I also had two cans with yard waste. I happened to see that the sanitation workers emptied our neighbor's and our yard waste into the trash truck. Why is that? I was shocked to see that happen.
Not a huge deal so long as it doesn't keep happening but only half of my cart was dumped in Park ridge East this week. (Trash, recycling was fine) Are they using automatic grabbers now? Please try to make sure it comes out of the can! Thank you
I live on a corner lot and always bring trash to the "front" for collection. Would it be fine to leave it on the side yard instead since a street is there too for pickup? It's a much shorter drag of the bins there. Thank you.
It would be useful, and I think easier for the sanitation department, to have an online form to request large item pick up, rather than having to call in. I was hoping to have a large item of trash picked up with my regular trash today, Monday. I called this past Friday, not realizing the sanitation department was closed on Fridays. They called me back today (Monday) and left a message. By the time I was able to call back, it was too late for anybody to pick up the item, so I have to wait until next week.
