402 Mitchell. Day after trash pick up: bag of trash in yard. Trash can still at the curb.
Can't reach the Sanitation Dept. I want to arrange an extra trash pick up on a Fri. Last Thurs I filled out a Google form for it and received a message saying, 'received and scheduled'! So I took my trash bin down that night. Didn't know if it included recycling and couldn't ask, so I didn't take that bin down. At the end of the day on Friday, my trash bin was still full so I brought it back up to my garage. I've tried 5 times to reach the department this week to get some questions answered and make sure I'm scheduled for THIS Friday, but it rings and rings -- no answer and no voice mail. I've checked the number and it's correct. Is there another way to reach someone and/or get some questions answered??
NOV issued or not (see#177559), the tenants are not impressed. This morning shows recycling material next to the can and trash that has been there for a long time, still in the yard: 1518 Atwater.
People are leaving the trash and recycling bins out by the curb all the time, including boxes and plastic bags filled with trash outside the bins. This is happening on N Roosevelt St, between 7th and 8th St.
From walnut and Patterson all the way to 2nd and walnut I counted 8 shopping carts filled with personal possessions from the homeless, along with varies debris and trash around these shopping carts! Something needs done by the city to discourage stealing shopping carts! Area referenced needs cleaned up and shopping carts returned to owners!
Since early this month, new residents at 103 E. 16th have not properly disposed of their trash. Sanitation crews don't pick up garbage bags outside containers. After yesterday's pickup, 3 bags were left on the sidewalk, and during today's storm trash and garbage were strewn all over 16th St. in front of my home. The residents should be educated about proper trash disposal. They seem to need larger containers.
Have exercise bike to get rid off. Can that be done as large item collection or not?
Question: Does any of the solid waste generated in Bloomington go to landfills out of town / out of county? Also, are there are plans for a methane-to-natural gas plant like the one I read about in an HT article on October 4?
our trash was not picked up but everyone else’s on our street was
