The crosswalk on Henderson near Templeton school between Driscoll and Wilson continues to be dangerous. We use it daily to and from school with many other kids and routinely have close calls with cars speeding through. I think part of this is foliage blocking the flashers, but would like to also suggest pedestrian flags be provided on both sides of the street. We've used them living in other towns and they are really great. Here's a website that explains their use in another city http://www.kirklandwa.gov/depart/Public_Works/Transportation_and_Traffic/Pedestrian_Flags_-_FAQs.htm

Please, reading about Bloomington traffic, we are SO SLOW HERE (though need to obey lights better) so do not slow further. Can absolutely slow neighborhoods but the entire city shouldn't be neighborhood. There is essentially no E/W route. Traffic is worse for a town this size than any I have ever visited (have visited many). Thanks! We need real roads. Can grid some slow places but need more arterials.

You guys could start planning out where your guises work zones are going to be throughout the city so you guys don't just have one main street taking you for one side of the highway to the other , But that's just me a citizen and that would make too much sense

Starting off, this is just a friendly message for maybe a future traffic improvement. I assume that anyone that works with planning road features and improvements knows more than I do, but in the off chance, I'd like to share a video on the topic of diverging diamond interchanges that I think could do wonders to the nightmare of traffic that is the 3rd street overpass of 37/69. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0sM6xVAY-A I hope everyone over there is having a wonderful weekend!

can we please get speed bumps on west 7th street in front of the cemetery? Many elderly, children, and pets are within this area and i see people speeding up the hill regularly. Each month my neighbors and i have to clean up animals that have been hit and I have seen multiple times children and elderly nearly hit. Along with your every day joe going through, it is also sheriff and city police speeding on the street without lights and sirens. This is a hazard I hope you will fix. Sincerely, Ryan Baker

Twitter User Charlie Trout (@jozliketheshark) made the following suggestion: Hey @citybloomington there have been two car accidents outside of my house today, I think it’s time to make 5th and Jefferson a 4-way stop

Large semi trucks turn off Rogers onto W. 4th. When they get to the cemetery, they can't turn right onto Elm nor go into the cemetery to turn around. There is a sign at the entrance to the cemetery that says no large trucks. It would be helpful if there we a sign at Rogers and 4th. My tree branches are often knocked off and I fear that my car or someone else's will get hit as these large trucks back down the street to where they can turn. Thank you. Gracia Valliant

7th & Grant is a 4-way stop. None of the Stop signs has the little "4 WAY" sign under the "STOP" sign.

As a resident on the east side of Bloomington, I often find myself on 10th street because it is a main artery through town. I've always wondered why there isn't a designated left turn lane with a left arrow traffic light to help the traffic flow at the intersection at 10th and Pete Ellis. The designated lanes are as follows. Left turn/Straight and a right turn lane. People who turn left aren't able to do so easily because it's a busy street and people who wait behind them are forced to try to re-enter the traffic flow because other cars decide to use the right turn lane to go straight. Unless I'm mistaken, creating your own lane of traffic is frowned upon, so I'm constantly frustrated by the fact that I sit patiently in the left/straight lane behind a car waiting to turn, and then as I'm entering the intersection, have to watch out (yielding to cars that have decided to go around the situation) to avoid getting sideswiped. Perhaps the city developers could look at this particular problem and re-designate the lanes or use resources to get a new light with a left turn arrow. I can't be the first person to have complained about the safety of this intersection.

Traffic jams on 2nd and 3rd streets. Synchronizing the lights would greatly reduce backed up traffic. A lot of times during rush hours traffic is halted because the lights all seemingly change at different times
