I am very annoyed by the new Tap bar on the corner of College and Kirkwood in the center of our downtown because they broadcast through speakers to the sidewalk area anything and everything: TV, sports casts, music, live entertainment. It is annoying and inappropriate for that area of the downtown. I think it cheapens the area. Can anything be done to stop it?

A business has moved into the former Sterling Glass building at this address. They have placed a large blue dumpster on the lawn at the west edge of their property. According to 20.05.067 of the UDO this dumpster is supposed to be enclosed and on pavement. The property is zoned CG.

Specifically I am doing feasibility research for opening a coffee roasting company in Bloomington and I need to know what regulations exist within the city and what remediation may be involved. "Dear Mr. Hamilton, As my council representative has been ineffective and unsuccessful in dealing with this problem, I am calling on your office for help. For over two years the resident of 1316 South Palmer Avenue has been running a used car lot at his house. There are usually no less than six cars parked in front of his house and across the street from his house at any one time. At least one or two usually have no plates. In addition, his yard is a total mess. He doesn't care about the trash that accumulates in it. If this were a problem in Elm Heights, it would have been taken care of in one day. I understand that one can sell a car from one's property, but this man needs to find a lot that is zoned for selling multiple used cars, and move his business to that place. Please help in moving this used car lot from our street. It is an eye sore and it brings down my property value. When Bruce's Welding was granted permission to build at their present location, part of the approval included "no outdoor storage". Over the years, the accumulation of "stuff" has grown. The recent addition of steel beams to the steel stairs along North Adams Street indicates that this business needs a reminder of the agreement.
