East Fourth Street on the east side of Jefferson is blocked by tree limbs. The limbs hang down across Fourth (which at that point is just a pedestrian path) and extend down almost to the surface of the path.
The intersection at tenth and the bypass has a very dangerous intersection for pedestrians and cyclist. On the north east corner the sidewalk does not have an accessible ramp up the curb unless pedestrians walk into oncoming traffic that often does not slow or yield to the pedestrian right of way. I have had many close calls at this intersection and now there is not a sign when crossing to the east. Please correct this before someone is kill or badly injured.
Could you please install a painted crosswalk at 3rd and E Grant? 3rd is very high traffic and as cars come around the corner heading west, it makes for a dangerous crossing for pedestrians who are given no right-of-way.
Hello. I reported 165371. I noticed there were thin paint lines now, almost like precursors to new crosswalk paint? Will new thicker lines be painted soon? Thank you!
The corner of Moores Pike and Claris currently has flashing Yellow lights to help pedestrians cross Moores Pike. Drivers view yellow lights as a call to speed up not Stop. I walk there frequently but cars seldom slow or stop Sometimes the cars speed up, either to beat the light or to run over me. Perhaps it would help to change the lights to red which means Stop. Or install a regular stop light. Also, at the Southeast corner of Hillside Dr and College Mall Rd. The crossing light turns on when the vehicles turn right from Sare Rd onto Hillside Dr. This is very dangerous for the pedestrian since the corner is not visible to the cars turning right. The North Washington Street bicycle lane from 12th to 10th street is significantly narrower than the 5 foot standard outlined in the City of Bloomington Bicycle Facility Design Guidelines document. In addition, vehicles parked along the west side of Washington street routinely occupy some portion of this bike lane, reducing the width even further. It seems to me that this stretch of road would be better suited for sharrow markings instead of the very narrow bike line that currently exists.
