Can someone inspect the state of the footbridge along E Second Street, especially the part closest to Rose? The railing has started to sag. I just do not want it to collapse with someone on the bridge.

The Hunter footpath (maintained by the city) between Eastside Drive and Mitchell is starting to get flooded again by a spring that has resurfaced. If nothing is done, it will become a breeding place for mosquitoes in the summer and an icy path in the winter.

I understand It’s legal to park in a minor street, but where? In front of vehicle owners property or in front of the immediate neighbor’s property? The later do create a easy assess to neighbor’s property, because people drove by might think it’s this vehicle owner’s property. I have been bothered by my neighbor for quite a time and everyone tell me it’s legal, nothing they can do. So the threatening is always there, if I have a mental break down, who’s responsibility is? The neighbor or the city? Life is so hard.

Thanks for RayeAnn’s reply. I understand the street regulation completely, so do my neighbor. That is why he’s using this regulation to do illegal things. By legally park close to my property, he just walk over to take my mail without permission, sit in his pickup truck staking on me, threatening me. Any legal action for me to take to against this harassment caused by legal parking on public street?

I did, police’s reply is “it’s legal for him to park on the public street”. There’s nothing they can do, unless the regulation changes, most likely not in my lifetime. Thanks anyway, I guess I can only wish this guy will behave himself when he gets older.

There are low areas from the pavement that are ackward and present safety concerns for walkers and joggers facing traffic while heading S on this narrow road way so, clean fill dirt is being requested that can more closely match the height of the roadway and make it safer to step aside when necessary without a significant danger of loosing ones balance.or causing an accident by an abnormal roadway height difference as the roadway shoulder more closely needs to matched to the asphalt height.

FYI, the only person complaining so far about speed bumps on the PRE greenway plans can easily have ZERO humps by taking Park Ridge Road home at minimally increased distance, or maximum ONE if taking Morningside.

Why haven’t you installed pedestrian crossing lines and signals yet? You’ve known about this for so long. I was nearly hit crossing with the light on foot just today. Cars in every direction had to adjust to seeing a pedestrian crossing, they all wanted to drive where I was crossing. Do something now! Tens of thousand of students are coming, always dangerous for pedestrians. Someone will get hurt with students never looking for people on foot when they’re trying to figure out where they’re going, turning, beating yellow lights, turning on red, etc. PLEASE!

Please consider installing larger/louder/more prominent warnings at B-Line crossings where pedestrians and cyclists have the right-of-way, especially where the B-Line crosses near Wendy’s and the old hospital on 3rd(?) St. There are many students here new to Bloomington and may not be familiar with the rules, plus out-of-towners and visiting parents and others. Cyclists often don’t look before crossing. I’m a driver and I don’t want to hurt anyone. If more prominent flashing lights and sounds were used, I feel it would be much safer, as anyone can be easily distracted while multi-tasking, etc. Thank you!
