Eastbound bike lane on W 3rd/Adams STILL full of asphalt, rocks and debris. I'd love to use the lanes that the city just spent money to install but its TOTALLY UNSAFE. COME ON!
Gravel piled up on the multi-use path going East-West on 2nd/Bloomfield. There are a couple spots, the biggest and most slippery is right by the “Performance Auto” sign, just west of the pharmacy. There are a couple more spots that have much thicker gravel west of this spot, most notably in an area where there is a gravel drive. Perhaps that driveway needs to have a bump where the gravel meets the pavement to help prevent so much from falling into the path. Some pieces have been flung out into the street from under my bike wheels and the fine gravel by the Performance sign is slippery on a bike. That spot might need some raised brick landscaping on the edge to prevent it from sliding onto the path. No photos because it’s usually dark when i ride to twin lakes and i don’t think to stop and take a photo on the way back.
Sidewalk unusable, has been for years depending on season. Either it's mud covered areas or vegetation that blocks the ability to use. One more option exists and its when both happen at once. However, thank you for mowing, makes that corner usable.
There are no marked crosswalks at High and HIllside/Moores Pike.
On Southdowns just west of the intersection with Jordan Ave, the biking and walking path is being overrun with dirt and brush. The pavement and part of the bicycle painted decal is being covered in dirt now. This needs to be cleaned up.
low hanging tree branches and bushes blocking sidewalk. one branch looks dangerous.
I was struck that there are pedestrian ramps on the south side of W. 3rd St. This indicates to me, as a pedestrian, that there is an intention for me to be able to cross Patterson Blvd. Having done this on multiple occasions, I take my life in my hands: there is a right-hand turning lane on Patterson at 3rd. Many vehicles turn right onto Patterson while traveling east on 3rd, and don't anticipate a pedestrian. There is no crosswalk at this location, which will be imperative with the new retail development just west of this intersection. While I doubt that there are many pedestrians crossing here, you may as well anticipate a crossing signal, which would be a kindness.
The parking lot light at the Clear Creek trail parking lot on That road is turning on and off (flickering) all night long
College Avenue bike lane from 17th all the way to 11th is filled with debris. Sand, gravel, etc. Really bad under the train underpass. This stretch really needs routine maintenance. Everytime I ride through here it is in bad shape, forcing me into the road.
