Police reports have been filed because car robberies have occurred numerous times on Jackson Street. We were hoping to get street lights put in order to maybe reduce the amount of theft in the neighborhood.
Request to get street lights on our street. There are kids and families on this street. It's completely dark. All of the lights have burned out. Thanks.

I wrote you a week ago about a street light that has gone out on our street. Our neighborhood is really dark and we would appreciate if it can be fixed very soon. We have had 1 attempted burglary and a theft of a truck in the time that I have asked that the street light get repaired. We would really appreciate if this issue can be fixed as soon as possible. The street light in question is the one opposite our property on 1104 S. Covenanter Drive. Also, we think that there was an issue with the street light when it did work as it would stay on 24 hours a day. Thank you.
I'm the homeowner at 2424 E. Cathcart St. A light pole was recently installed, but the light fixture has not yet been installed. The pole is directly in front of our house. We don't want this street light shining into our home windows at night. We are requesting a light fixture on that pole that is a "dark sky" type, which only shines downward, not 360 degrees. That light would otherwise ruin our nighttime, contaminating us with unwanted light from the street. I don't know who is or will be responsible for this installation. Amazingly, no one has contacted us about it.
I live at 211 e 10th st. Within the past week both houses on either side of my have been broken into. The alley behind my house is not lit very well. I believe that if the alley had street lights, that people would be deterred from breaking in.
I am seriously concerned that there is no street lamp at W Vernal and N Adams and/or W 8th St. and W Vernal (Waterman). The fact that these two major intersections in western Bloomington have no street lights, when the area is known to have a relatively high-rate of nighttime crime, makes little sense to me. Moreover, as my wife and I are commuter cyclists and often return home at night, these are the only sections of town between the University and our house which aren't lit. So not only is the lack of city street lights/lamps a crime issue, it's also a public safety and transportation issue as well. The corner of W. 8th Street and W. Vernal Pike is very dark and dangerous at night, especially for pedestrians and bicyclists (of which I am both). I am requesting lights be installed at that location in order to make the area safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, and cars. The Waterman neighborhood has many residents who bicycle and walk through that part of the street, and they are at risk of being hit by cars. It is also a case of making people feel safe at night. Also, I am writing this as a property owner (1521 W. 8th Street) and resident of four years who would like to feel safer and has only just found out about this UReport process, otherwise I would have submitted this request years ago.
Light on utility pole at dead-end of S.College Avenue is out. This location is at the entry to the B-Line trail. There have been several car break-ins on this street specifically at 1605 S. College Ave.), and it appears the thief is using the dark entry to the trail as a quick escape.
