Street lite has been out for a long period on the corner of Davis and grant St (1101 south grant street) we have had several crime activities in this area and would appreciate the area being lit
A friend sent me the following email: Hey I have a issue and since you walk alot I always think of you. You know where Pete Ellis drive is. Well by the railroad tracks there is a walk cross and they need to add alot more lighten there would you contact who ever u call and tell them. It scares me that a walker is going to get hit. The streetlight at the corner of S Anita St and 1st St frequently turns on and off during nighttime hours, rendering the street very dark.
The streetlight at the corner of Jordan and Maxwell Ln frequently turns on and off during nighttime hours; this is a wide street and a busy corner, making this particularly unsafe.
Eighth Street is extremely poorly lit. From Walnut all the way to Fess there are almost no street lights and its extremely dangerous. I feel unsafe walking home from the IU campus at night, or even walking home from a restaurant in the evening. The lack of street lights in this area is simply ridiculous. The city of Bloomington has an obligation to make sure its citizens are safe and it is neglecting to do so. The area that is the subject of this complaint is the exact same street in which Hannah Wilson was abducted and murdered, and within the last month the exact same street has been the location of an armed robbery. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that something must be done to make this area safer. The city has a responsibility to do everything within its power to protect its citizens, and adding a few streetlights hardly seems like an impossible task.
I've reported the streetlights on Driscoll & S. Dunn being out multiple times to both the city and Duke. Every time I get an auto response that they are fixed, when they never are. Who do I have to contact about this to actually get them to work?
Several street lights were off on Atwater between Henderson and Highland. Time between 6:40-6:45 am.
