The pedestrian lights are permanently red in all four directions. The lights turn green only for the cars. It is difficult enough getting through this intersection, without the drivers assuming that if your light is red you are never permitted to cross.
Early in the mornings, when driving on 3rd Street at the High St. intersection, the light is usually red for 3rd St. traffic. When it turns green, it only remains green for about 12 seconds, so I end up having to stop and wait there every day even when there is no traffic on High St. The way the timers are set now, the green remains on longer for High St. even when there are no cars there but remains green for 3rd St. traffic for only about a dozen seconds before turning yellow and then red, so we're forced to stop almost every day even though heavier traffic goes through 3rd St.! I ask that the time for green for 3rd St. traffic be made longer, say at least 30 seconds for 3rd St., or better yet, kept green unless a car shows up on High St. The way it is right now, it's as if more traffic is supposed to go through High St. when the opposite is true. This is causing wasted time each day, which adds up to quite a lot in the long run, so I ask that the green timer for 3rd St. traffic be extended or made to remain green as the default because the reverse is happening right now!! Signals are not responding ro traffic. Have to wait for light to change from west bound Curry when there is no one there in the first place.
Eastbound Tapp left turn to northbound Rogers sensor is malfunctioning. Left turn arrow is always on even if no cars present. Consistent every day this week early in morning when no one there
I have no idea how many times I’ve complained about this light. I wish the head of this department lived out this way and had to wait through a quarter mile backup while the light switched back and forth without any cross traffic. Quit putting a band-aid on it and fix it permanently
The traffic light at Bloomfield Rd (2nd Street) & Rolling Ridge Way is a problem during normal commuting hours (7:30am-8:30am & 4:30pm-5:30pm). In the morning, traffic comes to a crawl and is backed up from this intersection all the way to the exits of Highway 69, often blocking the Highway exits. The short trip between the Highway exits and this intersection would normally take less than 1 minute. During the morning commute hours, it takes 5+ minutes. A similar situation occurs in the evening. Westbound traffic comes to a crawl and is commonly backed up from this intersection to S Patterson Drive, or sometimes even farther. This traffic light is certainly the cause. After passing this light, the congestion is no where to be seen and traffic flows normally. My suggestion would be to alter the programming of this light, during these specific hours, to be much more heavily biased toward East-West traffic. Perhaps it could stay green for East-West traffic for 50% longer than standard, or similar.
I don’t know how many times I’ve complained about this light. In the morning it backs up traffic to the interstate and in the evening it backs up to Landmark ave. It is not the result of Catalent traffic. The light cycles even if there is no cross traffic. When it does cycle it first lights the west bound turn light whether or not there is anyone in that lane. The local residents are beginning to believe this light is left broken as a form of punishment for opposing annexation
The traffic light at 1200 S Rolling Way and Bloomfield sometimes takes upwards of 10 minutes to cycle to allow left turning traffic from the apartment complexes.
