Just moved to Bloomington to an apartment at 543 East Smith Avenue. The "crosswalk buttons" at Henderson & Atwater beep incessantly all day and all night. I'm not sure what information they could possibly provide to anyone with a sight or other disability since they are on constantly. The noise is very loud and makes it difficult to sleep or concentrate. Can something be done ASAP? Thanks, Paul Helmke
Traffic lights at 3rd and Bypass did not allow a left-hand turn (from eastbound 3rd to northbound Bypass) for several minutes (6:40am-6:45am Jan 2); left-hand arrow never appeared; other traffic was minimal/nonexistent.
The traffic light at 6th and Walnut is about a half cycle out of sync with the rest of the Walnut street lights.
Greetings! The traffic lights at the intersection of Walnut and old-37 on the north side of Bloomington seem to have a problem detecting large vehicles (I drive a Durango) on the west-bound side (east side of intersection). This problem has been ongoing since mid-summer when the first maintenance began on the traffic equipment at this intersection. The problem is most noticeable at night when no cars are in the east-bound lane to trip the light. At times I have waited up to 5 minutes and have had to just drive through the red light if no other cars come behind me or pull up on the east-bound lane to trip the light. Often I have to back up and move forwards again multiple times to trigger the light. I live near this intersection and have to drive it daily late at night so this has become a major nuisance. the protected left turn light from westbound patterson to south rogers is only long enough to let about 3 cars go through. if any cross traffic fails to stop before the light is red, sometimes no cars can proceed before the protected signal ends. please consider increasing the length of time the left turn light stays green.
My wife and I just moved into a new house at 411 E Wilson St, between Palmer and Dunn. We need street signs installed at the corner of Wilson and Dunn and Wilson and Palmer as soon as possible, as no one can find our house.
Traffic light at Vernon and towanda heading west is long in the morning and cars are not even passing through on towanda
Road Construction sign has been run over or blown over...supporting pole is bent and sign is laying down/wedged in with light pole and parking sign on United Commerce Bank parking lot...on 3rd street between College and Walnut. Someone here tried to right the sign but the post is bent and could not be set right. Needs to be removed/reinstalled?
The combined length of the green-yellow protected left turn arrow from westbound Grimes to southbound Rogers is approximately 5 seconds. This does not allow adequate time to turn.
Right Traffic Light Red is not working properly coming out of the Liberty Drive Gate of Baxter.
