There is a terrible smell coming from what appears to be a storm sewer retention pond in the lot next to 302 S. Cory Ln (Advance Auto Parts) The smell becomes stronger on hot days and almost has a natural gas smell to it. Can you please send someone to investigate this issue.
Leaking fire hydrant
Thanks for sending someone out to check E Windermere Woods Dr...there was one (filled with dirt) storm sewer drain but based on what I'm seeing this morning, I wondered if both of them might be clogged down there on the segment from Covenanter north to rounding the bend up into the condo village. A supervisor checked it (thanks) and said someone would be out next week to clean it out. If they could make sure all drainage along that segment is working that would be great. Lots of standing muddy water down there this morning. Tried to submit a photo but I'm not sure it's going through. Appreciate you all!
There is some kind of water leak in the yard of the building on the corner of grant and Kirkwood. A new handicap spot was just given to the parking there, but water continuously flows down the sidewalk, which means that it turns to Ice in the winter. Not a great place to walk - especially if you are handicapped.
Behind our property there are depressed areas in the field which appear to be getting bigger. During a recent rain storm my daughter indicated that you could hear water running under them. Not entirely clear if they are directly over the drainage piping that runs into our back yard/creek-bed but they're close enough that if one of the pipes was cracked or compromised it would likely create a sink hole. Would like to have someone come check it out just to make sure that it's safe to be around.
Not sure if this is correct department. My request concerns work done to reposition storm drains on the above-cited street. Thanks for improving all four drains. But several residents have noticed and are concerned about a deep hole in the green space located just a few feet directly East from the physical drain. I believe digging was done there as part of the drain improvement project. The deep hole must be filled in and seeded as it is a hazard to small dogs and to people. Please advise. I hope this hazard can be remedied.
The issue occured in Winslow Woods Creek during native habitat restoration in the creek running north to south between Aug 3, 2023 and Aug 4, 2023. The Urban Greenspace volunteer Weed Wrangle team were working in a dry creek on Thursday Aug 3 pulling Japanese stiltgrass between 8am to 10am. On our return Friday morning Aug 4, 8am to 10am, we found the creek saturated, pools of water in some areas, our pulled weeds banked in small dams, all indicating a flood had occurred during the 24 hour period. It did not rain during this period. I called CBU 812 339 1444, on Aug 4, at 1:44pm, to ask if a water main had been discharged during the time in question. No one has returned my call. I am writing on behalf of the Quaker Meetinghouse on 3820 Moore's Pike. I am told the drainage ditch toward the west along the street is not draining properly.
Just wondering where all the water in front of twin lakes rec center is coming from. It’s been wet in front for at least 2 months, consistently every day, and we have had little rain. I drive through this every day and just wondered what was causing this?
Hello, I live at 404 E 1st Street and walk to work at the university. Since it has been raining steadily for days, the leaves have moved into the street gutters and are blocking/clogging the gutters and grated drains all throughout this neighborhood. With the new 2023 leaf recycling law, most of the neighborhood did not rake and remove the leaves (my neighbor at 402 has the front yard filled with leaves, a rental unit) and the recent windy weather has blown the leaves everywhere and now the rain has moved them into the areas that I mentioned. This problem is causing excessive water to gather on my property. Please send out crews this week to clean up the leaf problem before there is a major flood in this neighborhood because the forecast is for another 10 days of rain. Thank you, ELIDA C.
