Street & Traffic Signs

Case Date:
6/1/2023

This is regards to the road closure north of pending construction project at Kinser Pike & 17th Street. The current placement of the road closure sign on Kinser Pike at the 45/46 bypass is creating a traffic hazard. Those of us who live in the neighborhood adjacent to the construction have difficulty accessing when coming from the north. It is likely that those using the gas station and coming to work at the Holiday Inn are having a similar experience. When northbound traffic on Kinser Pike is in the left turn lane, local southbound traffic on Kinser Pike trying to get past the sign cannot; and end up queueing into the intersection, creating traffic jams and potential for car crashes. PLEASE relocate this sign further south and closer to the actual construction zone. Thank you.

So I brushed out to you guys before and got a basically a lame ass answer, all over the city you guys have the traffic lights set up in timed so as soon as one turns green and you go traveling the speed limit you get to the next one and instantly turns red oh I've driven all over the world this is obviously purposely done what you guys have said it's not case in point from starting from Miller Street through Grimes, this is something that's all over the city to why you want to do that I can understand downtown where you want traffic to slow down but the point I'm making a car stop at every light when doing the speed limit is dumb I don't expect an answer cuz you you're going to fucking deny it again but this is fucking bullshit

A huge sidewalk is being put in on the west side of Sare. It seems like Sare is now too narrow and ripe for traffic accidents.

The obsolete road markings at the intersection of college mall road/sare and Moore's Pike/hillside are flat out dangerous and will cause am accident if they haven't already. North bound had two lanes going straight, but the left lane has markings directing them INTO the right lane. Nobody knows what to do when approaching eastbound. there are other problems too. It is dangerous!

THIS IS IN REGARDS TO THE COLLEGE MALL/SARE ROAD/MOORE’s PIKE INTERSECTION. This intersection has become extremely dangerous — the lanes have been narrowed but no new lane markers have been painted. I only pass through this intersection around four times a week and I have been in near miss accidents every time since the construction was “finished” (southbound college mall right hand only lane is definitely NOT finished) as drivers do not know where to go (disregarding the near misses I had during construction for unclear signage and lane closures). Please fix this! It’s a very busy intersection and its very unsafe right now!

Traffic markings at the intersection of Sare Rd and Moores Pike are not well marked while under construction. This is a traffic hazard. I’ve witnessed potential accidents because of lack of markings (and wrong markings traveling through intersection north on Sare). This project appears like it might be going on for some time. Asking that you please consider adding safety measures to this project. Thanks.
