Need a street sign at the intersection of Winslow and Henderson
The stop sign at the intersection of Holiday Road and Franklin road was knocked down, as was the street sign.
The walk/don’t walk lights at Second and College, on both north corners, always say don’t walk.
Thank you for the all-way stop controls at the Fairview/11th intersection south/east of the railway! This has been a huge improvement to the intersection. Can we get a marked crosswalk just south/east of the railway bridge to cross from the north corner to the east corner (as shown on my laughably cartoony mark-up)? I know that this intersection has been considered recently, so there may be a reason why a marked crosswalk was not recommended. But if there is not a good reason, a marked crosswalk here would be so helpful.
This street desperately needs a “no parking on side of street” sign. People visiting are parking on the side of the street, on top of sidewalks, and partially in the road. The drive is very narrow. Please put up a no parking sign so we can enter/exit our driveways
The street sign along the corner of Skyline Drive and Kinser Pike, across from Cascades golf course, has been knocked over. The pole is severely bent over.
The Bloomington traffic database reports 5 multivehicle accidents at North and Henderson in 2018 and 2019, all of them shortly before the 8AM start of class or after the 3PM end of class at BHSS. None were reported for 2020 when BHSS was online for most of the year. NO accidents are reported on the neighboring intersections of Henderson and E Miller, or Henderson and E South Rd, both of which have stop signs. To anyone who drives there, this is a much more dangerous intersection than the majority of intersections where 4-way stop signs have been installed. Indeed when one first uses the intersection one expects 4-way stop signs based on the usual Bloomington pattern for roads with prominent crosswalks, which makes the absence even more dangerous. Please fix this before my daughters start driving to high school next year. I'd prefer they walk but that intersection is even more dangerous for pedestrians.
The intersection of Henderson St and North Dr lacks a stop sign. It is the main exit for BHSS and is extremely dangerous. Cars are moving quite fast on Henderson, there are high school students crossing there, and there the high school is full of new drivers. As an experienced driver I can say it is the most dangerous intersection I have regularly gone through. And in front of a high school! Bloomington is full of 4 way stop signs everywhere. Why this strange exception where one is really, really needed?
This intersection has unclear right of way and needs a stop sign. We have almost been hit several times here.
