Turn signals trigger although no cars are in turn lanes.
Car and truck drivers regularly speed down 12th Street between Walnut and Indiana, and do so at all hours. Now, in addition to that they have been racing up Lincoln Street between 10th and 12th, likely to avoid the traffic lights at 10th/Walnut and the new one at 11th/Walnut. Fully half of the speeding vehicles have "Dominoes" pizza signs on the roof. Why did the City allow a junkfood delivery service to be situated where they could race through a residential neighborhood? Is there a way to prevent the delivery drivers from using 12th Street and Lincoln unless they have actual deliveries in the neighborhood? Or at least slow them down a bit. It seems like a Stop sign at 11th/Lincoln would help on that street, and two Stop signs on 12th (at Lincoln and either Washington or Grant) would make it safer. PLEASE do something about this. It can only get worse if/when "The Standard" is ever done and occupied. It will be a nightmare unless the City is proactive and puts up Stop signs where they are warranted. (And the arguement that "No one stops at Stop signs" used by the traffic board in the past is specious. If true, why then are there any stop signs put up anywhere?
At the intersection of E. 2nd St. and S. Woodlawn Ave., Westbound traffic is frequently running or failing to stop at the stop sign due to A tree obscuring the stop sign’s visibility. This is a school zone and there is quite a bit of pedestrian traffic , many of whom are wearing headphones, between the IU campus and Bryan Park.
Downed street sign post that needs to be picked up.
Additional signs warning of low bridges should be added; although it is amusing to when rental moving truck semiannually hit the low bridges ( https://bloomingtonian.com/2019/10/28/ryder-truck-stuck-on-dunn/) . Currently there are is sign at 12th/Indiana and another half block north of 13th/Indiana. If some is turning south from 13th street on to Indiana then there is no sign with the height. The cost of additional warnings and signs would be offset by avoiding the any time spent having police direct traffic and repairs needed.
I live in the only house that is very near to the road on Moon Road and have two young children that play outside a lot. We desperately need some sort of signage to tell the truck drivers and other people that pass through our road that they need to slow down. It has been decades since young kids were in this area and I would really appreciate some of those "Children At Play" signs.
Stop sign (3-way) needed at Winslow and Highland.
Sign still indicates No Outlet. Northward on Range Rd/Discovery Parkway.
Stop traffic sign is missing in corner of E Tierney St and S Strain Ridge Rd
Stop sign for southbound High St at intersection with Maxwell is obstructed. Yesterday a vehicle ran through it and nearly hit us. I've seen several last minute stops as well.
