There is a stand of invasive Velvet Leaf that has doubled in size over the summer. I think it is in a city easement just south of Greenbrier on the west side of High St. I don't know if you can do anything about it but I thought I would report it.
There is a rotted tree leaning over the road. It is currently being held up by other trees, but if it were to fall, it would land in the road near the top of the hill, posing a risk to drivers coming around the corner.
The two trees next to 2704 and 2702 have rot and limbs are breaking off. My neighbor was hit in the head by one of the falling limbs.
There's a street tree on the Southside of 1st Street just east of Henderson that is leaning. It might be pulling up out of the ground a little. Maybe worth checking on it before it becomes a hazard.
Trees/shrubs are overgrown and obscure visibility. If you're heading east on Dodds and waiting to cross Walnut, you have to pull forward until you're partially in the road in order to see if traffic is clear. This issue also exists at the intersection of Dodds & Washington (heading east) - you can't see if anyone is coming on that one-way road (or if anyone is about to cross the crosswalk) unless you pull all the way forward. This is especially dangerous because the stop sign itself is almost always obscured by a tree branch.
A request to have 2 small branches cut as they are dropping tons of walnuts on sidewalk where kids walk to Fairview. Tree is at 317 N. Fairview St. Tree belongs to Jane Henderson, landlady, who does not care if branches get cut. Years ago city cut down a Siberian Elm on her property that leaned over street. Reporting as don’t want walnuts falling in little kids heads walking to & from school. THANK YOU. Kay Thorbecke
A limb on a walnut tree appears to be damaged and is hanging low over the street. The tree is about halfway between Roosevelt and Jefferson on the north side of the pedestrian path where Fourth Street would be. The second of the two large limbs extending south from the tree appears to be slightly fractured above street level. Not sure if it poses any immediate danger, but I don't think the end of that limb used to be so close to the ground.
On the corner of Maria Ct. and Whitely Dr. The trees are overgrown and blocking the sidewalks.
(See attached) A big truck drove through this morning and ripped a big limb out of this tree. It landed on sombody's minivan who was driving behind the truck. Both vehicles left the scene, but the tree debris remains. Sobody drug it off the road to the curb. Its right along 10th Street, north side of the street, between Fess Avenue and Park Avenue.
