Tree in the front of 1002 E Heather Drive, between the sidewalk and street, has died and needs to be removed. It is a very small tree, only planted a few years ago. The deer over the winter have removed most of the bark, which has killed the tree.

A tree of about 8 inches DBH and located about a foot from the curb on S. Highland Ave. has a lot of poison ivy on it. The poison ivy extends about 2 feet over the street, so is a danger to pedestrians and cyclists (there is no sidewalk on either side of this block of Highland). Furthermore, the ivy has several large clusters of green, immature seeds (see both photos). It is therefore imperative that all of this ivy be removed or killed soon, before the seeds mature and are spread by birds. I am writing to report a broken tree limb that poses a safety concern. It appears that the limb was damaged during the storm we experienced at the end of March 2023. The tree in question is located on city land outside of my property boundary at 1301 W. 8th Street in Bloomington. The broken limb is specifically situated at the intersection of Adams Street and 8th Street, where there is a significant amount of pedestrian traffic. The footpath visible in the attached picture is frequently used by pedestrians crossing from the sidewalk on Adams Street onto 8th Street. The presence of the broken tree limb in this area creates a potential safety hazard for pedestrians. Additionally, there is a slight concern that the broken limb obstructs the view of the Adams Street bridge for drivers turning right onto Adams Street from Fountain. This obstruction may affect the visibility of oncoming traffic, potentially leading to traffic incidents or delays. I kindly request that the relevant department of Bloomington takes immediate action to address this issue. It is crucial to ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists in the area by removing the broken tree limb and conducting any necessary tree maintenance or inspection. The tree on the right side of the house which is facing W twin oaks ridge is impassable on the sidewalk. Children walk home from school this route and the sidewalks need to be cleared of low hanging tree limbs. Thank you!
Oak trees on street in front of house hang over sidewalk so pedestrians have to duck. One tree was also hit by a truck this week and a branch is now hanging down and obstructing the street.
The trees in the city tree plot on this street are blocking parking spaces and making sidewalk travel nearly impossible.

Tree on the corner of Lincoln and the alley between First United Methodist church and Graduate hotel has several large dead limbs (widow makers) and one limb has dropped on the sidewalk missing a parked car.
