Large (beautiful) sycamore on the SE corner of Fess/11th is encased in vines, some of which are poison ivy. This is right by the sidewalk, and appears to be in the City ROW. Is the trimming of the vines the responsibility of the owner? Elevate says IU owns this parcel. It looks like the vines are so heavy that it is stressing the tree. There is also a large maple (?) just east of it that has some vines, but it only looks like a Euonymous.

I am a Certified Arborist through the I.S.A. While inspecting trees for Dr. John Labbon today at 2736 E. Brig's Bend I noticed that the city Maple tree to the right of the driveway entrance has co-dominant leaders. The 2 leads are already splitting and the smaller lead will fall onto the city sidewalk where a person walked by while I was doing the tree inspection. Dr. Labbon would like the tree removed. A couple of trees fell in the woods that border my property in between 3897 S Claybridge anda the assisted living facility. The house is rented and I don’t know the owners. One of the trees is blocking the sidewalk. Yesterday, I witnessed a mom with a little kid on a trike going into the street to try to get around it with a vehicle having to swerve to not hit them. I am concerned because there are a lot of folks who use the sidewalk and a high level of traffic, which increases the odds of an accident.

Regarding ticket #181157, the trees are in the tree plot, the area between street and the sidewalk. Are you sure that's IU responsibility?
