There is planter in the Right-Of-Way with wild flowers that goes into the parking. City maintains these but it has overgrown. Dump truck came around the corner and I almost got hit. Could this please be trimmed back so there are no accidents?
I am writing to report a broken tree limb that poses a safety concern. It appears that the limb was damaged during the storm we experienced at the end of March 2023. The tree in question is located on city land outside of my property boundary at 1301 W. 8th Street in Bloomington. The broken limb is specifically situated at the intersection of Adams Street and 8th Street, where there is a significant amount of pedestrian traffic. The footpath visible in the attached picture is frequently used by pedestrians crossing from the sidewalk on Adams Street onto 8th Street. The presence of the broken tree limb in this area creates a potential safety hazard for pedestrians. Additionally, there is a slight concern that the broken limb obstructs the view of the Adams Street bridge for drivers turning right onto Adams Street from Fountain. This obstruction may affect the visibility of oncoming traffic, potentially leading to traffic incidents or delays. I kindly request that the relevant department of Bloomington takes immediate action to address this issue. It is crucial to ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists in the area by removing the broken tree limb and conducting any necessary tree maintenance or inspection. the trees on south henderson are covering the pedestrian signs and making it difficult and dangerous for kids walking to Templeton - I witnessed a near accident with a child this morning!

Sorry to report that the top of the Kentucky Coffee Tree in the ROW was snapped off in the storm. Still hanging up there. Can someone come by with a crane and free the top part so that it will drop? We can take care of it once it's on the ground. Please don't take the whole tree out.
A tree of about 8 inches DBH and located about a foot from the curb on S. Highland Ave. has a lot of poison ivy on it. The poison ivy extends about 2 feet over the street, so is a danger to pedestrians and cyclists (there is no sidewalk on either side of this block of Highland). Furthermore, the ivy has several large clusters of green, immature seeds (see both photos). It is therefore imperative that all of this ivy be removed or killed soon, before the seeds mature and are spread by birds. The tree and poison ivy are located across the street (Highland) from a bright blue house (this is at the corner at E. Wylie and Highland). Thanks for taking care of this. Jeff Palmer

Recently, I've seen several young Tulip Trees infested with scale in the neighborhoods where I walk. I first noticed them because their bark is so black I thought they'd been scorched, but when I looked closely they're covered in scale. The trees are between the street and the sidewalk, so I assume they're city trees. They're in the Sherwood Oaks, Peppergrass, and surrounding neighborhoods. Here are the specific locations for the one's I've found so far: • Benson Court, just west of Jamie Lane. The tree is on the south side of the street. • Heather Drive, west of Preston. There's one on the south side of the street and another on the north side a bit further down the road (near Grasstree Ct.). • Allendale Drive, west of Bainbridge. On the north side of the street.
