Thank you for considering and responding to my recent report regarding the now faded parking spot lines in the 1200 - 1400 blocks of the south Dunn street neighborhood. Until such time as they can be re-painted (for visibility), can there be some increased parking patrols, as it is common to encounter vehicles parked on or over the lines, limiting space and creating a hazard (which just pushes the next car to park over, and so on like domino effect) down the street. Vehicles parked facing to wrong way in spots, as well as sometimes blocking the street or alleys, are also common occurrence. Thank you. (Email reply - if necessary - is preferable)
Felt uncomfortable having my family at building and trades park because homeless people were using the covered area as a place to live in relatively large numbers. They had their belongings, food items, chairs and other furniture for sleeping. It was obvious it was more for them than a day or at the park. Also they left trash around the restroom area. This is sad as it male it an unsafe atmosphere for children like a park with a playground should be. We ended up leaving early even though we live in this neighborhood.
Three to Four deep potholes that need repaired. Thanks!
Hi - I feel like the city needs to issue a warning to cyclists to take extra precautions when locking up their bike. On Monday around 11am, my $1200 bike was stripped of all of its parts that were not locked to the bike rack. This happened right outside my office in a somewhat busy parking lot, in downtown Bloomington, in broad daylight. From the security footage it took the person about 20 minutes. A police report was filed and the officer mentioned he'd seen similar cases recently. After posting about this on social media, I've now heard numerous cases of bikes either being stripped completely or partially during the day at various spots downtown over the past couple weeks. Had there been any media or warnings issued, I would have certainly brought my bike into my office, rather than risk losing most of it. I realize it's just a possession (and not a life) and can be replaced, but given that this seems to be a growing trend, a warning and increased awareness would be helpful.
1100 w kirkwood--many bags of trash piled behind house
The property at 1413 W 11th st. has an excessively overgrown lot.
The Burger King on College and Country Club Road is constantly spewing the vilest smoke. Has it been cited for pollution?
Dead woodchuck in the middle of the street in the 100 block of East Southern Drive. Dead rat in the gutter as you turn north onto Walnut from East southern dr.
At the intersection of Allendale and Walnut Street Pike there are several evergreen trees/bushes that make it nearly impossible to see the traffic coming north on Walnut St Pk and results in many cars pulling in out into cross traffic in a dangerous way. The trees are on private property on the south side of the intersection.
