Hello, I'm reaching out on behalf of my employer Hanapin Marketing. We currently reside in the Showers complex at 501 N. Morton Street, and our employees share the Showers Red Parking Lot with County employees. Over the last 6 months, we have all noticed a rise in crime in the parking lot, particularly with theft. I've attached several police reports that have been filed in the last few months to support these claims. These are the incidents that were reported to the police, however, there have been others as well that were never filed. For example, in early January one of our employees had his door handle ripped off his car entirely. We are hoping that the city will notice this trend and assist us in our request to advocate for higher security and/or additional patrols in that area to deter thefts. Don't know if this can be addressed or not (as I don't know if it is a city or private street light - I assume it is a city light) but we live at Dixie and Dunn and the street light at that location (on the south west corner of Dixie and Dunn) goes in and out and flickers consistently throughout the night which can be disturbing when trying to sleep or when our 10 month old is trying to sleep. More importantly, it reduces visibility and safety when it is out. Unsure if this can be addressed but we'd really appreciate it! Thank you much.

Street light cycles on and off intermittantly

There are not any street lights in the alley behind my house. We had a break-in this week in the back of our house, and I think having street lights in the alley could have prevented it. Being back there at night is very creepy, and anyone could come attack us at night when we are trying to get in our back door. For safety reasons, I feel like it is important to that back there.

The cover/cage of this street light swings down from the bulb. I have reported three lights on E. University St. I walk my dog at night and am very attentive to proper lighting for safety reasons.

Every road near the Kelley School of Business is in terrible shape. I bottom out my car just turning onto Fee Ln. from the parking garage. I'd suspect it's from all the construction equipment. I don't see why we should be forced to pay for IU's renovations with damage to our cars. P.S. the intersection of 11th and Fee Ln. is abysmal, and you know it.
